Vanity system not in 2.1? (other topic seems to have gotten lost)

I had heard that the system was finished, just not yet implemented. Yet we havn't heard anything on it coming with 2.1.

One of the primary reasons I was interested in FF online this time around (played 11 for a while), was because I heard that there was gonna be a vanity system, so I could retain my actual FF staple class look this time around instead of wearing all sorts of random leather straps and underwear and shit, and calling it dragoon armor.

I wanna get my AF armor back on plz :< and I never wanna take it off again. Can plz has vanity 2.1? plz?

Someone brought up that they heard "Six Months" so probably patch 2.2 or 2.3.

But even so, I hope that we can put other class gear over our gear. So I can be a dragoon in heavy armor HAHAHA! This game has it set right, I should have my 'visible set' then I can change weapons etc.
Because in most games it would be hard to know what class someone is without there armor...But this game goes by weapons more so! P:

That and let me color my AF gear and dungeon gear!

I was about to make a petition thread for it. It was already "done" but not implemented in time for 2.0 so they said it'll be out in 2.1.. but eh. I really wanted to come out for 2.1

Id at least like an explanation.

And if by some nightmare they choose not to add it, the reason better not be something like "oh, well we wanted it so that everyone looked as powerful as they really are, but we will be adding more dye options for your earings." or some total BS.

okay a lot of these threads are popping up, making proclamations about what is and isn't in the 2.1 patch... Have the patch notes for 2.1 been released, where can I see them...

or are we all jumping the gun and ASSUMING things again because SE hasn't made an anouncement YET about someone's pet topic?

My highest combat class is 17 and all the others are 15. I'm wearing what I like the looks of and practically ignoring the stats, I'm still at the point where that's not hindering my gameplay experience...

I do not look forward to a point where I'll be required to wear something I don't like just to play anymore.

In this particular case, Yoshi has said about six months after launch, in patch 2.2.

It's a feature that should have been in beta and then in launch, to be honest. It's 2013. This is the only modern MMO I know of that still forces players to dress like mismatched clowns.

Before my free time ran out (1.0 ~~sucker~~ player here) I had already replaced 4/5 of my BLM AF gear with green-quality dungeon drops... that were recolors of level 5 peasant clothing. And not even dye-able.
