Skipping Cut Scenes in Dungeons

As a staunch supporter of watching the cutscenes, I'm going to recommend to friends to skip. This is based on my own experience.

Today I did both CM and Prae. Watching the scenes in CM wasn't bad. I didn't drag too far behind and got to participate in everything. Prae was another story. The scenes in there are many and long. I think once we got halfway there was nothing but cutscenes for me as the group was able to move through the dungeon fast enough to queue up the next scene. I'll admit, I'm a bit of a slow reader so it's probably a bit quicker for the average person. The whole back half of Prae is voice acted, though, so that slows it down too.

In the end, I didn't get to see much of Prae. Watching the cutscenes in the inn wouldn't have felt a whole lot different. What's more, the 90k boss hit me in the middle of a scene so I had to watch that one in the inn anyway. Again, I support watching and would never yell at someone for it but it didn't really work out so great for me.

"not everyone has time to waste" yet there they are, online wasting time in a video game. If they don't have time to waste they need to get off the computer and go handle thier business.

You completely missed the whole point, and took something and ran in a completely different direction. LoL

Wrong. Skipping cutscene to watch from the Inn ruins the experience. I'm generally fine with first time players watching the cutscene. Let them enjoy it the proper way.

some people are so self-important, they start bitching when even 1 or 2 minutes are wasted.
example from Castrum:
1 WHM went afk while we were pulling mobs before Livia to cannons. i ended up healing alone when we were fighting 2 Colossus dudes. noone died.
then before the Livia cannon phase (second WHM still was afk) i said i'll go to the restroom for a minute.
which led to rants about how i and people like me waste other people's time, let them down, tank start bitching about "what if i left in the middle of the boss",
DRG went on how we "cant do this stuff before the dungeon" and are "slack healers", etc.

second WHM came back, but even when he was afk, noone died. people just wasted ONE GOD DAMN MINUTE MORE, and went mental.
cutscenes are not the issue, that pos "endgame" community is.

I don't have a problem with people watching CSs, but the hostility level really needs to be lowered by both sides...

The only CSs I politely ask to be skipped are the quick ones in CM at the colossus, so we can easily avoid death, if not I'm willing not to skip. I only ask close to them so players can enjoy the previous CSs without feeling pressured, and I've been answered to pretty rudely by various teammates in DF for "demanding a SR", "Demanding CS to be skipped" etc anyway... in which case, if I was so adamant on a SR, I'd have asked to skip as the run started.

I'm sorry for the wall of text, but what I'm trying to say is... ask what you prefer, but please keep it civil, and keep it rational. Be it for, or anti Speed run.
