    The market is flooded with even more dirt cheap high level mats, despite the fact that there are less high level gatherers. Even if you gather an item 1 level higher for more XP, you still need to do it over 800 times just to go from 39 to 40. I'm sure itll get even worse the closer I get to 50.

    Sometimes I'd like it to go a little faster, but thats because I'm leveling all of the gathering classes and only using CUL as a craft for now. (Will Start WVR or ALC when I have a bank load of mats) Currently 27 FSH, 27 BTN, 27 MNR lol.

    At least I get good use out of the gathering gear.

    Surprised by the negative response honestly.

    I'm currently ~37 botanist and 33 miner and it has been the most mind-numbing and tedious experience I've had in an MMO in a very, very long time. I'm gathering something like 600+ items per level, then factor in all the failed hits and running between 3 nodes. I do the provisioning missions every day as well and it still feels incredibly slow. I'm not doing leves because the rewards compared to the crafting ones are just abysmal. Also, to put it in perspective, today the work I did for 1 level of mining got me 6 levels of goldsmith; no crafting leves were involved just refining the mats I gathered.

    I feel like a bot while gathering. I might as well be. I'm not playing the game I'm just watching Netflix while I run between nodes and hit 0

    Oh and now I'm running out of wind shards, so that's a huge amount of time I spend doing the exact same thing but getting practically no experience for it.

    some people talk of the beta and how it was easy to level up while it, i dunno if the nda is still working on this, but the system was totally different.
    without enter in the details, it's true that while the beta level up the gathering was easy, but now, let's be honest.... if you don't have leves for this... you are good for spend hours and hours simply for get a bit of exp and you will have gathered a ton of mat while this.

    without increase drastically the exp gain, they can put a more rewarding chain bonus. actually it's +50% when you arrive at chain 4, will be ok if the item was giving us a lot of exp, that not the case (even with the +50% of gc is still too small) maybe double the chain bonus exp is a good solution. will please everybody without reduce a looot the gathering exp.

    So far i think its fine, the only thing that bothers me is the exp you gain from shards. Imho, considering thats about the only thing i gather 90% of the time due to the sheer amount that you need in high level crafts, i would like the exp from shards to scale with your own level.

    Other than that, i think the skill costs need to be looked at, it feels like there is hardly any difference in gathering speed between a lvl 1 gatherer and a high level one. Maybe if the CP would actually regenerate as fast as other classes there would be a real benefit skillwise to having a high lvl.

    I think the experience for gathering isn't the problem. The real problem is that it is mind-numbingly boring to level as a gatherer. I am not trying to rush to 50. Usually, I am trying to gain just enough levels to be allowed to gather items I need for my current crafting level for another class. Grinding away for hours on the same nodes, same leves is very, very boring.

    For me, the answer might be to increase the fun factor of gathering, make it less of a boring chore. Crafters have hundreds of different synths to make, which breaks up the boredom. Melee and magic classes can fight just about everywhere and have numerous methods to gain experience. Gatherers are limited to the same handful of gathering locations or repeating the same small amount of leves.

    I would love to see much more variety in locations added, more (different) leves, and perhaps rare opportunites to gather something special (such as the occasional gathering vanity minion).

    Slow? Getting to 50 in some days is slow?

    Some people didn't play Lineage 2 on release where it took you 2 months to get from level 30 to 40, and the cap was at 70.

    Even including open beta, the game has barely been out a month and level 39 Gatherers are complaining that it takes too long to level. Seriously?

    If anything they level up far too fast considering that, unlike with the battle classes, as soon as you hit 50 its over. Gathering classes don't exactly have endgame content after all.

    I think everything is too quick. EXP needed should be raised for everything by a third at least imo.
    I also thing we need 4 times as many side quests as we already have and they should be repeatable.

    Everything is far too quick to level. We outgrow our gear far too quick.
    The fact that all jobs/classes can be done on 1 character means once you have done a few jobs/classes you are left with grinding, i know grinding is all part of the game but i feel some more side quests about the people in the main story or some about various NPCs would add to the depth of feeling the world has.

    I also think there should be more quests for gathering/crafting, maybe a story line for each guild leader. 1 every 5 levels is nice but not as nice as 2 or 5 per level.
