You Pay for the game overall not just the dungeons. As people said you don't have to wait to play the game ever, You in a queue for a dungeon go do something while you wait. There are plenty of things to do in this game. Fates are actually quite fun.

Edit: Also a counter to that Car analogy: I don't know about you but I wait in queues to drive my car all the time. It's called traffic, other people wanting to drive their cars can definitely cause me to not be able to drive mine the way I want. No worries though like this game cars offer other things to do while you are in the traffic queue. Look out the window to enjoy scenery, listen to the radio, etc.

What an utterly shit analogy. By your logic then while im driving my car why must i be forced to stop at the lights when i payed to be able to drive from A to B instead of "sit on my arse"? Other ppl need passed at the crossroads do they not? Same rule applies then that other dps need their chance with a healer and tank to get into an instance.

Regardless of what your mother has told, you are not special and the universe does not revolve around you. As others said if you want a speedier instance access then roll a job that gets invites more often like tank and healer otherwise shut up and put up with it.

This que problem is nothing to do with SE or their management of duty finder but rather the epeen many feel the need to stroke with a dps class.

haha...of all the things to complain about with dungeon queues right now you actually picked one of the few things that are working normally for MMOs. If you seriously have a problem with this then I suggest you stick to single player because SE can do very little to balance who wants to DPS/Tank/Heal...SE already announced they will be implementing incentives to queue as the most needed role but that won't fix queue time for DPS, might help a tiny bit.

The problem is that SE should've made groups of 5 people and not 4.
Now it requires that 2 from the 4 people are either tank or healer while in not 1 game you get that.
I mean how many games have you played were 50% of population is either tank or healer?
If they add new classes I can't imagine it will be better cause those who like to tank do that now already so I don't believe they will with a new job think wow lets start tanking. same goes for the healingclasses.
If SE would allow 1 more dps in a party and give all instances mobs more hp so it is same difficulty i think the problem would be solved.

So main issue is the setup of queuing solo when most/many queue with partial group (they understand what friends, ls, and FC are there for) and the partial group jumps ahead of the solo because of the need for tank/healer at the front.

I always queue with a tank and/or a healer as DPS and its real quick, queue solo and well i mosty afk or potentially do this when i am gathering just because it will be some time before i get a pop.

And for those who comment about 20:1 ratios, go look up the information from lastnights live letter from TGS, they showed the numbers for class distribution (from 9/12 so about a week old) and it is Very close to a 1:1:2 ratio as required by the DF, so stop saying it needs to be 1:1:3 and remake the entire game to account for an extra dps in the group.

While it's easy enough to go do other things while waiting in queue, the fact is that waiting for a 60 minute queue for a 45-90 minute dungeon (depending on how well it goes) which, because you're in duty finder, might not even be a successful run... it sucks. It really, really sucks. Nevermind what happens if you have a group like I did today where our healer literally left the instance 15 seconds in. That was it. Bam. 60 minutes of waiting and then another 60 because of one person deciding to about face.

It literally took two hours to get into a dungeon I had to do to complete the plot - which ran almost the full 90 minutes because of a terrible tank. The problem isn't that I mind the wait times, it's that I have no choice - I had to commit to a four hour session to try to progress the plot of a game.

So why not queue up with people on your server, from friends list, from an LS, or from a FC? queue with atleast one of the healer or tanks spots filled and time drops significantly. And not only is it faster, you can repeat the experience for other dung if they are actually good and have higher success rates in the runs than just using the DF.

If it's AK or any Hard Mode Primal, they'll jump at the opportunity. Because those are relevant to them. But otherwise?

You need to have someone who A. is in one of those classes, B. is online, and C. actually wants to do it with you. Which, given that dungeons give really underwhelming experience and some pretty terrible loot drops if you're 5+ levels over the dungeon itself... you're basically asking them to give up their time for you. Some will. Some won't.

Sometimes I've been lucky enough to get them. Other days my entire FC is too busy doing AK runs to lend a hand, and because I'm only able to play a couple days a week I've been left completely in the dust in progression.

The point is, I can have an FC that has thirty people online, ask "hey anyone want to queue for Stone Vigil", and get no responses. "Just queue up with someone in advance" is not always an applicable solution.

I am a tank and I had to wait 20 minutes today to get a group for the dungeon, I do NOT like the fact that you can not skip the dungeon to advance the story. Its the most stupidest thing I have ever seen in a MMO. Once the servers are top heavy new players are going to be totally screwed over with super long wait times!
