    In 1.0 during character creation, it would have a default deity for whatever birthday you chose (though you could easily ignore it and pick whatever tickled your fancy). I don't think there is any sort of practical use for it, at least not at the moment.

    I don't have a quote to reference but there was some talk in 1.0 that they would be sending out birthday gifts to your character. Not sure if that idea will stick around or just be left to the pile of good intentions.
