Solution to Community and Boredom Issues

Help other people!

If you found that you couldn't help yourself and finished a bunch of content early on then this may be a healthy option. Think about it: a lot of what we enjoy in RPGs and MMOs is seeing progression/gaining strength and playing with others/socializing. When you help someone out you can almost feel some ownership in their growth and that can be really awesome!

If you are a crafter try making random gear and giving it to people; this can help strengthen the overall image of the community and encourage others to be more positive. If battling is more your strength try helping people with dungeons (especially if you are healer/tank for queue times) or with killing those high level hunting log monsters.

There is so much to gain from doing this, and we all know that complaining about a bad community does nothing. We have to take some action ourselves.

By helping other people you:
-strengthen the image of the community
-spread positivity
-make friends
-have fun by seeing others progress
-educate players on how to play properly
-gain powerful allies for future content

This all seems painfully obvious I'm sure, but it struck me that although I find myself complaining about the community sometimes, nothing will change unless I do something myself. Thanks for reading and let me know if you have any other ideas!

Agreed and well said. Just from this post I think I'll dedicate one day of gaming out of every week just to helping out other players wherever I can

All of my crafts will be lv30+ by the end of the night. If anyone around that level or lower wants to send me a tell on Hyperion for free/cheap HQ gear, let me know. I'm Bustaballs Bbot. I have a Pug lv32 and a GLD lv26 if we need any help with battle related stuff.

Unfortunately, this view has been lost for many people. It's the "me" game, now. =/
If there's no gear and/or gil benefit, people just don't do it anymore.

I personally help out people in my FC on a daily basis, some days I don't even do a single
thing for myself. Makes the game much more enjoyable and keeps people wanting to play
together.
