Where is everyone?

While playing yesterday, there was a queue to get on my server (Kujata). When I finally get on, a lot of the zones were near empty or had very few people compared to a week ago. I went to Mor Dhona and found very few people while getting tome gear. I went on my archer to level near Aleport which nearly always has a large gathering, yet barely had enough to beat some of the miniboss FATEs. I went to Quarrymill to level my black mage and was no where close to the busiest it has been.

Essentially all of the zones I have been to were very light. Is everyone just doing dungeon farming now? How is this possible when there is a queue to get into the server? I find it hard to believe that this many people are farming AK or Castrum considering that the game is new and not everyone is 50.

Which was expected by a lot of people. But the OP did say he's getting ques, so I could speculate that the people are just more spread out. People are leveling there 2nd or 3rd (or higher) job atm, or leveling a trade, or grinding a dungeon.

You are correct, I am getting a queue which means there are over 6000 players on the server right? I was used to seeing over 50 players per hub in the low level areas and maybe 10 or so in the 40's. It is a drastically different landscape at the moment.

Also there seems to be some weirdness going on with log ins..... some people like myself keep getting the business with the "Cannot Update NA/EU server" upon login.

Most people are leaving the game, if you check other forums youll see that this games population is going to drop drastically in the next few days. Most of my friends list just stopped logging on, and same can be said for 75% of my linkshell. I think people just dont think this game is worth paying for, and I agree with them.

Worth paying for to experience the story from start to finish? Yes.

Worth continuing to pay for the endgame? Absolutely not. Heck, I'd call it less endgame and more postgame.

Yeah, They did an amazing job revamping this game, but I really wish they had built in some cool meta games from the start. Chocobo breeding, maybe player owned airships. Actually, I think my perfect MMO would be FFXIV with the voxel based world and exploration/construction that EQnext is promising. I am still really enjoying FFXIV though.
