    Finally for the first time the effect of DEX is revealed, and the stat does prove to be useful. STR was also tested and supports the fact average damage increases. See test for more details:

    Assuming the effect is consistent and did not hit any DEX soft cap, each 1 point of DEX reduced the miss rate by 0.0532%
    This kind of thing is rediculous. I'd rather we go to a non-assigned stat system where each point is controlled by your Rank/Level/Gear/Skills and not your whimsical self and then each singular point of a stat increase effectiveness at the least 1.5%. .0532% is nothing :/

    I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders.     I am for auto assign per job as well but I am bias from XI. It would be the easiest way to control the power of stats on your character, and you would therefor see the most significant increase when adding gear that boosts it.

    I would like them to go back to auto-assign too. Mostly because I feel like it would make stats on your equipment more relevant. It would be nice to bring back the racial stats as well. Back in XI, if I picked elvaan I would have crappy int and MP but I would have a ton of MND to balance that out. Then I could use equipment to compensate for my weaknesses.

    I like that system because it means even if I'm playing the same class as someone, I might not necessarily be using the same gear because my character needs different stats. Coming from a game like WoW where everyone gets to a point where they're all wearing the same equipment, FFXI's system is extremely refreshing.

    if each point of dex reduced your miss rate by 1.5% and you started out missing half, it would take less than 37 points of dex to have no chance of missing.
    his numbers are just showing that there is a correlation between dex and accuracy, what the correlation is unknown. also to note is he didnt show the accuracy, he showeds how much it changes your miss rate, lowereing your miss rate needs much smaller numbers to be effective than total accuracy, also of not is in ffxi and many games your accuracy always has a cap, it is entirely possible he hit the accuracy cap.

    also while dex is involved with accuracy, it is known that for accuracy, accuracy is a better stat, dex effects multiple things, so it shouldnt on its on give insane accuracy

    also there was an old idea, that it was possible that bonuses from stats were capped, that you assigned, but bonuses from gear existed beyond cap, i wonder if anyone tested this/ if this was considered for this test

    I would also like the old system like FF11 back. Stats barely do anything, then gear has such minor stat increases(+3 str/dex on tricorne...) that it doesn't even help or do anything.
