wtf with all this hate to summoners?

It sorta feels like the SMN players here are just as bad as those that quit. All I keep seeing is "I'm great. SMN isn't bad, all of the other players are." I feel that it is a weaker class. It may have decent dps but it requires more work to get the dps rolling and other times you can't get it at all or at least not very effectively. Besides that you also have to control your pet or let the AI freak out which makes this class even harder.

I don't agree with people for leaving because of one but I'm not so biased towards my SMN to not see its shortcomings. It is (to a lesser degree) like the elementalist from GW2. It takes more skill to be good with it and that makes it a worse class overall because if you have to choose between consistent level of play from DRG or inconsistent skill level from SMN then a wise choice is to take the consistency. Again, I don't think that should be reason enough to be ***holes but I do see the point trying to be made.

And nobody likes to use bane because it sucks. It has the range of my pinky finger.

P.S. HamHam, you are no better than the people discussed in this thread when you make comments like your first one. "You aren't perfect? You find something difficult? My class is too good for you, go somewhere else."
