Summoners have the highest DPS in the game. The reason people hate summoners was because of the initial parser results which showed them to be the lowest DPS but it didn't calculate the DoTs correctly. Now parsers are working and summoners are finally concluded as highest DPS output out of all classes. Ignore them. That's all you can do.

Unfortunately, there aren't any accurate parsers out there at the moment. Currently, Summoner's damage parse somehow includes everyone else's DoTs from his/her group.

I started getting curious when a group of friends did HM Ifrit with me. The Summoner had died halfway through the fight. He was never rezzed back up therefore he was out half the fight. In the end, it showed him at over 120,000 damage done while the 2nd runner up did 79,000 damage. I told myself this doesn't seem right.

The only somewhat accurate way to parse a Summoner right now is to take him straight to the practice dummies and let him and only him DPS the dummy for a few minutes. Record your data. Next, have another DPS parse. Now compare the data of the practice dummies to the data you would see in an Ifrit run. You'll see a significant difference.

Summoners are NOT shitty DPS, however they're also not as high as some people think due to inaccurate parsers.

You could test it solo on a dummy and know that your DPS is around 300-350 with full dark light and relic
