Arcanist's, Summoner's and Scholar's

I have what I hope is a simple question...

From what I read, Summoner's and Scholar's both take on the level of your Arcanist class.

With that in mind, can you still switch between Scholar and Summoner jobs on the fly like you can with say Conjuror and Arcanist?

Reason I'm asking is it would be nice to be able to heal or DPS from level one job, and not need to bother with Conjuror past 15.

if you go heal as SCH, you're gonna want whm 34 for stoneskin but SMN is pretty strong as well as SCH being a strong healer. Since they share stats you really need to main one or the other unless you buy lots of stat allocation scrolls from the GC

I'm gonna go 50/50 with my arcanist stat points and stock up on buff food to close the gap.

Just keep in mind that they share Attribute Points as well. I'm personally putting at least 75% of my points into Mind, because it would be much worse to be lacking Heals than it would be to be lacking a bit of DPS.

I thought they posted somewhere that the stat points won't be held the same for SUM / SCH... That you could distribute points as a SUM, then equip the Soul of the Scholar, and distribute those same points as a SCH... But I could be wrong, as I can't find the post on this... it may have been lost with the Beta Forums.

they share the points, so you need to either go full dps, full heal or mix it

You get 30 points for the ACN class. These are shared between the 2 jobs. You can go 50/50 (its what I did) and you will still do really well in both damage and heals. Your pets make up for what you lack in that department.
