How exactly am I supposed to aquire mats for leatherworking?

I'm addicted to all doh/dol at the moment. He does have a pretty good point. For most crafts you need only look into the gathering log to find out where to farm the materials, but some things like the different ram horns and stuff like that, they don't really have a log for farming those things. I know they come from enemy drops, but it would be nice to have a source of info readily available as to who drops what.

As someone who also had the troubles in leveling my LTW after unlocking "Aldgoat Leather", I'd like to share that searching for that specific mob (M.Nanny) and farming its skin for around an hour or two is quite rewarding in more ways than one. Also it's good to do all the DOH/L for getting GC Seals and some Gil provided you are diligent enough to handle it. It adds to the gaming experience that the game offers.

Tried Weaving, tedious as well at my level 6. Damn lettuce weed thing crafting all the time.

thats the one im doing as main, and the stuff u need for ur recipes goes from seafood (seems fishing gonna have to be my main gathering) botany, needs shards like any other...

something that helps is have friends or be in a friendly FC... i have so mani skin of the nany that is ridiculous, but no terdelion (im telling u this games knows what u need and it give u the opposite... lol..even some HQ..lol) .. so i just trade them all... i could sell/buy in market, but i guess is better for the group this way
