Actually that works and I'm not sure why. :/ I've found out that standing right behind him tends to make you avoid 90% of his AoE anyway, and if you do get hit you wont be hit off.In Australia with bad ping and I've killed Titan.
The thing that did it for me is realizing that the server updates your position at the beginning of a spell cast, so instead of trying to run really far away and still getting hit , its much better to take a tiny step out and cast a spell as soon as you can (even if you cancel it immediately after)
Since I've started doing this, I never get hit unless it's my own fault.
