I'm still new to dungeons, and have not played as a tank yet, mainly healer and a couple runs as DD. But I get better each time. If someone is new, and it's not my first attempt, I try to give a heads-up about things I have noticed before. The only way to improve is with experience and in my case at least, lots of repetition. Everybody was level 1 at some point...

If people are making an effort to do their best and learn the fights (and they actually communicate that to us), I am happy to help out. But if they are lazy and don't try and just expect the rest of us to carry them, or they say nothing at all, that is going to piss me off. I'll go out of my way and spend extra time in a dungeon for nice and considerate people. I've even dealt with multiple wipes in Qarn to the point where we had so many wipes we barely made the timer on the last boss. People died on nearly every boss, leaving the rest of us to low man it. The last boss we actually 3 manned most if it and then 2 manned the last bit because our BLM was new and having issues. Talk about carrying people - but I had fun in that dungeon and everyone in the group was really nice. But people need to earn that help.
