I imagine it'd be the exact opposite. Whoever is the most visible/entertaining in chat would probably get a vote over the quiet person doing everything right. Similarly, I bet under a system like this you could pretend to be a girl while flattering people and get votes.
You can't expect most players to make a fair assessment of other people based on performance. This system seems aimed more towards manufacturing friendliness than judging "value" anyway.
I think this is a case where S-E is adding a carrot where they should have put a stick.

My over all point is why reward people who are mean/rude players in the first place for keeping their bad attitudes in place. It's like telling a child who's throwing a temper tantrum "hey if you stop throwing a fit I'll give you a piece of candy". Now the child know's anytime they want something they just throw a fit and they will be placated with treats.
While the child who is already being good and helpful and controlling themselves is ignored.
I don't like this whole points idea at all. SE just needs to stand up and say "Look if you're gonna be this way and you're reported and it's found to be true (SE can see everything going on in these things and pull up everything that was said and that happened) then you will get strikes on your account and if you get 'X' amount of strikes then your account can't enter DF for 'x' amount of days.
Stop giving 'treats' to bad people to get them to be good, and deal with them properly.
I'm just a bun boy, doing bun boy things.
If you DF for something small such as Tam Tara its very easy to get in with a friend. When the servers were locked I wanted to play with a friend and we hit the DF on tam tara at the same time. 2/2 went in together, i know its small number but I didn't want to do the dungeon without my friend XD
Seems like a good idea, would rather have Myth or Phil stone bonus with more mounts / minions to buy with them, not another currency..
I'm the Bloodgaru Queen.
It's sad that some players need the possibility of a reward dangled in front of them in order to be halfway decent people, but that's reality. Frankly, if the trolls/jerks are just "faking it," and they are only being a team player for selfish reasons, I don't care. All that matters is that they behave for the duration of the dungeon, and then they can go back to being their miserable, rotten selves on their own server. But you know, there's also the possibility that it could be one of those "fake it til you make it" deals -- after a while, some of 'em might realize "Hey, being cooperative can be kind of fun, too!"
I still think a limited Vote to Kick option is essential, but on its own it does very little. The best we can hope for from these jerks is "don't be so terrible you get immediately kicked out, and maybe you can mouth off and insult people towards the end."
To those who think this "punishes" playing with your friends or FC -- that's pretty silly. If your local grocery store puts Cheerios on sale, are they "punishing" you for buying Frosted Flakes? If one class gets buffed in order to adjust game balance, is it "punishing" the other classes? Duty Finder needs the mother of all buffs right now, because it is currently broken, painful, and embarrassing. There is no reason SE needs to encourage you to play with friends and FC members, as people already do that, and always will do that.
If anything can stop some of these players from being so toxic, I am all for it. Excluding players, banning players, shutting people out -- sometimes that's necessary, but not ideal. What is ideal is turning that behaviour around 180 degrees. And realistically, that can only be done through tangible rewards -- not pleas for compassion and team spirit.
The only real problem I see with the idea is this: I have seen several people walking around in full darklight and exactly two people with the dust bunny minion.
The people spamming the duty finder and yelling at everyone to skip custscenes and quit because they messed one thing up aren't going to care about getting some vanity items. It will be nice for the already helpful people to get some stuff out of it though.

First of all, EVERYONE who plays nice with random strangers will get the points, so no, they are not ignored
And secondly, SE will NEVER have the manpower or resources to play "mommy" to half a million OR MORE players in the constant turnover that is the Duty Finder
the only way they have to deal with it is to give out something that ppl want bad enough to actually play nice with random strangers in order to get it
i wish them all the luck in the world figuring out what that "something" is, cuz i have no idea!
nor does most of humanity, otherwise there would be no wars and there would be peace in all of the world...
