This is a good idea, science has shown that positive reinforcement is more effective than negative reinforcement. This system combined with players organizing to make the DF experience more pleasant could very well lead to a positive spiral, and we all know positivty is contagious .

Please don't make it a MVP system. Please reward players for playing the class that is in demand so that everyone queues up faster.

Please also reward players for doing a random dungeon to assist more crowded dungeons.

Like other users have mentioned, I foresee extreme abuse of the MVP system.

You know that rewards in gil and exp for doing a random dungeon as a needed class is coming too right? and it's coming out with the MVP system.

also can someone please tell me how they will abuse the MVP system? it's at the end of the run, you cannot hold the run hostage or take friends with you so I don't think there is a way for this to be abused. If by abused you mean you will take your relic+1 tank and run every dungeon from 15-45 to help people out so you can get MVP points then... abuse away i guess lol

This system is for groups that get matched in the Duty Finder and cannot be used when you pre-make parties to enter dungeons and other content. Once you clear the content, you'll be able to vote for a player you feel was helpful, positive, and friendly.

Accumulating these points will allow you to buy companion armor, new mounts, and other exclusive items.

I play this game pretty much exclusively with my girlfriend. We're the classic tank/healer combo. Will other members of our duty finder groups, not part of our party, be able to vote for us in this system? Obviously we wouldn't be able to vote for each other.

I would like to know this too, me and my brother also go in as the tank heal combo and would like to take part of this system. If not then I will keep leveling my marauder so i can keep doing insta dungeons while my brother is offline.

So people like me who will never use the Duty Finder because I have better things to deal with than PUG DRAMA will not be able to buy this Armor, Mounts or other Items. Yea thats a real winner.

The problem is VERY VERY SIMPLE, Cross Realm Group Matching Tools cause major problems because if gives players anonymity on the internet. Anonymity allows players to be problem children because they are not negatively effected. Where as no Group Matching Tool if you got a bad name on a server you would be blacklisted as well as many people would know your a problem so would NEVER group with you and would cause you problems when finding a group. A Server Only Group Matching Tool which takes a Blacklist into account will also negatively effect this player because the more people who blacklist him the fewer people will match with this person in a group. A Cross Server Tool does nothing because the word will not get out how poorly a person acts when playing with others. The MVP system its too open for true abuse vs players playing with the player and saying hey this guy is a nut job /blacklist nutjob.

Solution. Server Only DF. Besides how many people complain of waiting 1 to 2 hours for an instance. Never had more than a 30 minute wait in SWTOR Server Only DF as DPS, 5 Minutes as tank or healer. What was the point of a X Server DF. Convenience which is not happening at all.

That is a fantastic idea!

I think the up-voting thing is also a fabulous idea. It's a great way to encourage people to be kind in groups. There's really no reprocussions for being an awful person, but now there will be further reason to be kind. Some people are just not nice unless they have a reward for it (because selfish o_o).

Should be interesting to see how this goes, though unless they figure out some way to improve dps queues, people will have even less incentive to queue a dps. Hum.

Maybe more people will go tank or heal and it might balance out some?

MVP is a bit of a waste, they would be better of creating a system that allowed communities to be made through multiple servers. so if there were friends that didn't want to transfer servers they could at least use Duty Finder to still play in dungeons.
Which is a pity cause from the way lodestone was explained it sounded as if at one point one would be able to find people through lodestone on different servers to do dungeons with and then use Duty Finder to do said dungeon.

With lodestone it could be very simple, the leader of the group sets up a dungeon they want to do, inputs the name of the player and the server they are on. said player receive a mog message from the player inviting them to join in a dungeon on duty finder, if they agree they are added to the DF list along with the leader that started it and once all player agreed to it then the dungeon will start up with players from other servers. (leader would only be able to send messages for DF to "friends" on their lodestone)

It just does feel like they are missing out on an opportunity to expand the communities by not allowing for a way for players to play again with one another on different servers which is why DF will see itself being used less and less often because of the randomness and the luck of getting people with manners to play with, one bad experience of waiting 30-45mins to start a dungeon just for a cocky player to bail the second it starts will easily turn off anyone from using it again in the future.

i understand players would like to play with friends

however, the Duty Finder is a tool that was created to help players, who have no friends ONLINE WHEN THEY ARE, be able to run group content anyway

to that end, the Duty Finder catering to RANDOM groups and not PRE MADE groups is the best way to do this
