The reason I don't necessarily want a Kick is because you will always get those jerks who enter a Duty in a party, and they will all vote to kick a person they want to "troll".

Not only that, but imagine that same group kicking a player just as the final boss dies or if a valuable item drops... The feature is ripe for abuse.
They would have to implement some sort of kick window (ie, kick window opens 10 min after start and window closes after party enters final boss chamber) and/or countdown timer (kick takes effect after 60 sec) combined with auto-dropping all loot list items upon kicking.

Every other MMO I know of has a vote kick implemented because the positives outweigh the negatives. Not only that, but imagine that same group kicking a player just as the final boss dies or if a valuable item drops... The feature is ripe for abuse.

You can...
1) Remove deadweight players (e.g. people who join and /sit and do nothing).
2) Remove utterly useless players (e.g. people who have absolutely no idea what they're doing and do not respond to coaching from the group)
3) Remove trolls
Unless SE does something incredibly foolish, any vote kick will require a majority vote. For a regular dungeon, that's 3/4 people. Very difficult to abuse due to lack of private chat unless 3/4 members were flagged together. No system can fully prevent 3 schmucks from banding together to be schmuck-ish, but the number of people impacted is relatively small.
The number of deadweight, utterly useless, or trollish players far eclipses the number of people who will enter dungeons with a 3/4 party premade and have free reign to boot the 4th player ad infinitum.
"There are two things which are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe." ~Albert Einstein

Naturally, what they're worried about is fresh 50s in full AF getting kicked because the group wants a fast clear.
It's a rightful concern. This community is the worst.

It is sickening how much SE is trying to baby the playerbase. No vote kick because some people might try to use it maliciously. No tells in dungeon because someone might talk trash about someone else. No dueling because someone might see it and be scared they'll get ganked. I mean really, are we all 3 year old children? SE, if this is the maturity level you think the majority of your playerbase is at, well, you have no one to blame but yourselves by catering to said level.

Kindness grinding for items is just cheap <.<.
Oh boy I hope we don't have to farm 'friendly' gear lol
SE I see your point to bring harmony to the community, but this is just over the border imo
I'n rather sceptical wether this will work or not

Some problems of vote kick that has to be taken care of or it will be a disaster:
1. Kick player for watching cutscenes.
2. If u cant kick cutcscene watcher, kick a random player to dodge the leave penalty.
3. Premade having full power to votekick the "random". For example kicking dps for not having relic +1 and full dl for ak, hoping next one will be an "upgrade".
4. 3 randomly matched over geared elite players kick the 4th player that barely passed the gearscore check, hoping that replacement will be an "upgrade".
A nice solution can be combination of:
1. Explicit written law what are valid reasons to kick and what are invalid reasons.
2. Requirement for each player that votes to elaborate the reason on at least 20 characters. Any "/10char" type placeholders are strictly forbidden.
3. Complaint system. Kicked player can pose a complain that gets investigated by a GM.
If he is judged guilty and the kick reason was valid, the player receives additional punishment for what he did (a few days non-full premade DF ban).
If he is found innocent, unfairly kicked player gets 1 day gametime compensation. Every player that voted "yes" loses 1 day of gametime. Additionaly they become unable to enter DF without full premade for 7 days on first unfair kick. Next offence of "unfair kick" results in permament unability to enter DF without full premade.
If any player is found of using placeholder characters in the vote reason, that player gets an additional 1 day DF ban regardless of the investigation result.

I think a good countermeasure to ensure that people aren't likely to kick people just for turds and giggles would be to simply have a minimum amount of time that must elapse, say, 10 minutes, before vote kicking is possible. This would give the player the chance to demonstrate to the others that he isn't going to be a problem before they immediately oust him.
the votekick would have to be something that doesn't interfere with looting. If, for example, you are in a group and 3 are friends, kill a boss but want the leather boots for your DoW class and will kick the monk so he doesn't get to roll. The limitation would be that you would still be able to kick the monk but after loot is distributed. So that you don't deny someone of loot. Also that you can't kick someone during a boss fight or at the end. They have to work out the kinks so that it doesn't get abused. Because a kick function CAN and WILL be abused if possible.

I'm really looking forward to a kick option. Yes there have to be safeties in place to keep people from abusing the system as much as possible but lets face it jerks are already abandoning the group if anyone types "My first run" and nothing is going to prevent that behaviour 100%.
I've had entire runs dorked up because a FC member lost power and there was no way to continue without leaving the dungeon and queue up again. Between that and the afk people in CM runs I believe it will do more good than evil.
