Its hard for me to see the names in your screen shots - can you post the links to them at full size by chance?
Can see the names if you change internet explorer from 100% to 400%, dunno about google and others.
This happened to me also. I have no clue what's going on.
"This character has been renamed [Alleviator Luminaria].

It says it's been changed but it's not changed and I didn't do it. It also says I joined all of my linkshells and my free company today, but I've been a member of all of them for quite some time now. I noticed two others in my FC have had the same thing happen to them.
Out of curiosity, did any of you use a Phial of Fantasia to edit your character's appearance prior to having the renaming happen? This issue might be a byproduct of that whole process. Most of the screenshots that have been posted seem to show the names being changed from the old name to the same new name.
I did not. I haven't even gotten my veteran rewards yet. I wish it was something as simple as that. And like you said, my name was changed from the old name to the same new name. It seems that there have not been any further posts about this concern being an ongoing issue. Because of this, we are considering it to be resolved.
