To add I miss the laid back days of ffxi where no one really cared about getting the best exp/hr and only concern was to have fun. Where ppl talked in paties and there wasn't favored classes or set ups.

are you sure you are talking about xi? all i see is constant talk about how if you didn't have this or that job you were left out of parties or if you didn't play as they wanted you got booted.

I've been on a few servers and no matter what citry I'm in I always see players. This is playing on a 1 choco server to a full 3 choco server. The only thing Id fix is the community attitude. Seems ppl are more stuck up in this game (no offence) And acting like this game is ffxi and 8 years old. Where they only talk in their set group(s). I would like to see more community feel. Like pepole talking and helping out others alot more like how ffxi used to be. And way less "time= money" from the crafters. Abd even way less "you can only party doing levels and only if you have said levels" pretty much a less focus on getting the best exp/hr (what is the point of it at all, when this game just started there is no need to rush levels) I would like to see more non level partying, and TON LESS care on how others play. (see afk leveling topic, and most of shinyo replies )
I would like a community restart if there was away to do it instead of all this stuck in the mud concepts ppl forced themselves into.

I'm not having any issues finding people to play with, that is all I'm really concerned about in terms of population. However, we've got a continuous stream of brand new players to the game joining Abaddon. That tells me that server pops are indeed rising.
@ ved and dark
Yes those days DID excist, for the first 2 years of p2 launch of ffxi. Just before cop launched the community was more laid back. Least on Garuda.
After cop launch is when the game turn more elitist mindset. ABefore elitists were looked down on by a good amount of players, now they are most of the player base.

I have noticed an increase of players on my server, even Limsa and Grid have people in it, not as many as Ul'dah... but there are PEOPLE there doing stuff!! Heehee!
I'm just a bun boy, doing bun boy things.

Here on besaid the population fluctuated for a bit, but we kept getting a ton of new players. hard to base it off of the camps themselves but there's never a shortage of people in ul'dah and Limsa, enough to consistantly cap out my player rendering every few meters.
Hell, even gridania has started seeing more activity, i saw three groups running humblearth when i was running through the shroud.

i'm glad some of you are seeing greater activity. we are lucky to have 3 groups even running broken water at one time. i'm hoping karnak is just a little behind and more will migrate that way, but i just see more and more of the everyday faces leave so it seems alot smaller. Here on besaid the population fluctuated for a bit, but we kept getting a ton of new players. hard to base it off of the camps themselves but there's never a shortage of people in ul'dah and Limsa, enough to consistantly cap out my player rendering every few meters.
