Is there any way to extend the singing time? Even with MP regen i end up with empty pool eventually.
I did notice as i level, my MP rises, how long can you keep a song up untill it completely dries your pool? Obviously, i'm talking about the mages ballad.

I carry lots of Ether in my case... even with my skill that doubles the effectiveness of my songs

If you want to increase singing time from a stat point of view then you can increase PIE but this is (in my opinion) a complete waste. I'm sure a lot of people will say the same, put all stats into dex and make use of Ethers (as Syndication said) to top up your mana when needed. In all honesty, you shouldn't be running out of MP in fights just by using Ballad, the healers should be able to manage their own MP 9/10 times.

I agree. In fact I only use the ballads on the basis of need. If a healers MP is at half I'll use mages ballad. Once full again I deactivate. Same with Army's Paeon. If a request pops up or I need it myself (Rain of Death spam lol) I'll follow the same procedure. I do carry Hi-ethers just in case but I only use them once a day on average.

It shouldn't even be an issue. Worst-case scenario, you can sing at the begining of the fight, wait for your mp to refill, then sing + BV a second time. If that's not enough for your WHMs, they're doing something very very wrong. Most of the time I don't even have to wait for my mp to run out. I just sing + BV when the whm is in trouble, and by the time BV runs out, they're good enough to go until the end of the fight so I stop singing completely.

Our mages Ballad is a huge help. But it's not a neccesity for any caster tbh. Throw it up when you know when it's needed ( after a huge AOE where a healer really needs to catch up). After a while when everything is stable, stop the song and let your mp recharge. I never needed to use entire fights.

Granted I am only levl 40 but... I have never needed to leave a song up long enough to fully deplete my mp pool. I'll forget to remove it... But that's on me.

Like I said, I carry lots of Ether, but that's only in do or die situations that my WHM can't manage their MP usage and has no MP pots...
