Smoked Raptor, Rank 25 Carp sub, really?

I craft Smoked Raptor with no problem at all and my carp is lvl 15. Then again I use Master Support buff and apple juice when I craft but I honestly don't think that you need to have a sub at the max level to create the item. Of course, I am sure it helps, but it is not required. YG is not always right, trust me. They still list the Northern/Southern carp recipe for cul to be lvl 0 when it is clearly lvl 38 or so. They also say that Black pepper drops off Rhotano buccaneer 66% of the time (they defiantly do not, I know this first hand x_x )

Black pepper drops really good for me from those pirate like mobs. I have almost a stack and not even by farming. Random fun while walking past them to Camp Bald Knoll. They also are in Mistbeard Cove in the back to the east i believe. They drop a hand full at a time when Ive killed them. They also drop coal tar if yall are interested in that. I dont worry about Black Pepper anymore. Though we dont see any on the market because ppl NPC. drop them, or dont know to try to sell it. Its also a nicely kept secret is seems because nobody believes me when I tell them its not rare since those mobs got there just nobody does anything with them.

To the OP, I too have problem with this recipe. I have tried Masters Cookery yet but ive tried the other two plus the divine bonus from food. Still have problem. WW at 13, been leveling it up since i have mats for it.

From what I did today, Northern had a higher success rate for me than Southern. But I hit surplus and it made me sad so I couldnt keep up the obvserving
