To further illustrate my point I literally just got into the queue. I am number 285. 10 sec later I get logged in. That my friends is a fake queue. Hacks used to mask an inadequate hardware / network infrastructure.

/pointsThis is BS. The reason we get the 1017 error instead of a queue is because they are to damn cheap to pay for adequate login servers. No game in this day and age intentionally makes you blindly attempt to login over and over. They have intentionally put in this "hack" 1017 error to get around not having adequate infrastructure to support their customers.
There's the door, feel free to have yourself booted out. Very easy to complain and say, "Companies should do this, companies should do that, we deserve better, wahh wahh." Vote with your dollar, the Technical Support forums aren't for whiners. You think other places are better, go there. Square Enix has done a lot of things wrong and didn't plan nearly well enough for the influx of players, but the increased stability we've been enjoying is proof enough that they've been attempting to fix their mistakes. Better service will come with time as they iron out issues. In the meantime, stop spamming logins when you get 1017, you're part of the problem.
TL;DR I'm sorry this isn't a playground where you would probably just cut in line.
