Mavericks Free Company: Looking for New Members!

Mavericks is Recruiting!

Other Free Companies look to acquire as many members as possible, but Mavericks will always be about building tight-knit communities. While our Free Company may be small, our influence will extend past our guild banner and into the overworld through our actions and our attitudes. By joining a Free Company that focuses on strengthening the entire roster, our group will have more value and become easier to recognize.

Some Background
Mavericks was founded by 5 friends from California. We are all veterans of Final Fantasy XI and World of Warcraft, but have only recently rejoined the MMO scene through FFXIV. We are gamers of all different genres, but we're also big fans of Bushiroad TCGs (Weiss Schwarz and CFV). We're all over 25, but age doesn't really have a meaning for our members.

Maverick Style
Our goal in MMOs has always been the same: Become well known for doing your job right. That notoriety is the greatest satisfaction for us, and it's what keeps us coming back. Any time our group has been too small to tackle content, other guilds have always been happy to reach out to us as alternates (or even start different running teams) because they know we posess the skill to follow through. You will earn elite status not by boasting or acting like an elitist, but by the respect of your server. You may think Duty Finder will make this obsolete, but when end game approaches, you'll be glad you have some strong server friends to rely on!

The Expectations
We can be excellent team mates! We dedicate the time necessary to improve our gameplay, we explore other ideas, and we have fun. If you aren't quite up to end game, we want to take what we know, and share it with you! We want longterm members, and we understand we have to work at making them.

The Criteria
We know there are a lot of dedicated and unquestionably humble players on our server; I have experienced this first hand many times over. As a Free Company leader however, I also want to diversify our roles and create less redundancy. For now, we need to focus on specific job roles, and roles we founders can also benefit from.

1. Priority will go to Tanks, with Healers secondary. This is referring to your MAIN class. Everyone can level whatever they want, but when it comes to end game content, we want to rely on having all the right pieces. If you aren't a Tank or a Healer, you are still welcome to apply. The worst we can do is say no
2. Level doesn't matter, but preferably we want someone who has experienced enough of their class to know whether or not they want to stick with it. ~20 is a good start, ~30 is excellent.

FFXIV is limited in it's group sizes. The maximum party seems to be 8 members for now, so we have room for about 3-5 other members. We want to constantly be doing things as a group, and until we have a foundation, two main groups will be about all we can handle for now.

Required play time per week? Or is it realized that people have lives (work, family, etc) outside of the game that may take priority

Required... Playtime? Hardly sounds like playtime if we require it

It's best if you are available to play more often than not, but we can handle getting enough players so that we will always be active even if you have downtime. That's part of good management.

EDIT:
Just noticed that you are applying to other Free Companies on Exodus as well, and I definitely don't aim to steal you from them. The ones you have applied to seem like really stand out groups that would love to have you! Just keep us in mind when you're looking for a few more quality players.

Maxed level in a few (WoW, Rift, SWTOR) and dabbled in others (FFXI, LOTRO, TSW, GW2), but I've never really gotten too far with endgame or raiding. Looking to change that!

I like what I'm reading here. Humility and respect especially. Plus, cool name!

On my main, Amdapor runs and then hard mode primals. Also leveling subclasses (THM and ARN), and finding people to use what my Alchemist makes (currently at lvl 20).
What is your availability like?
I'm in graduate school, so it depends on my workload, and that's my priority. So far I've been able to take a day here and there to hit the grind. Central time zone.

I've yet to "apply" to anyone. I'm making smarter inquires before I waste my time clicking accept again. No more of these random invites and HOPING to finally meet a good group of people. Now I'm going to know what I'm getting myself into before I join anything because I've already, in such a short period of time, dealt with enough wrath babies, and try hards, and whiners instead of assisters. That's simply what I'm doing on these forums. No application has been filled, no FC has been joined, still a lone wolf, and will remain so till I find mature competent people whom realize life is much more important than end game. I've only shown some interest in one so far but again haven't made contact just yet as I'm playing the books to find the right home.
