Weren't they going to add two more Primal fights to the mix to 2.1 also?

Weren't they going to add two more Primal fights to the mix to 2.1 also?
Its funny the OP is even bitching about end game... he is not even on end game content yet.
Here is a link to his character http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...acter/1669062/
Considering no one has cleared BL yet I don’t think we have much to worry about. 3 extreme fights is going to take weeks to clear.
The casual FCs are not close to BL at the moment anyway. By the time they are ready to start BL CT will be out. Perfect timing imo

Nimrod, the amusing thing, and the one you seem unwilling to approach and accept, is that the long term player IS the father that you hate so much. The stable person with a stable life who plays for diversion and not to "be the best" (whatever that even means in the context of a virtual world). Those are the people who support games long term. Not the others who blow through content. The casual players are the ones who subscribe through the "lulls" between endgame content, not the locusts.
You're 100% wrong in asserting that it's the casual who move to new games quickly. Game companies know this. It's the locusts who rush content and then unsub. They're the ones who are the game hoppers.
The game companies know this, and so do you guys. The fact of the matter is, you just are not honest enough with yourself to admit that what you really want is a way to convince all your buddies in your FC to stay in the game once the content is clear.
Orsnoir please stop making so much sense in a whining thread!

I don't know Orsnoire, i didn't start game hopping until i had a job and a girlfriend, i realized i didn't have the sort of hours available to dedicate fully to end game content in some of the more hardcore games i used to play and since i couldn't keep up with the elite i would just go to another game. The time I spent the most time in a game was when i was a full time student and had no job except on weekends, at that time 2008-2010 I played a pvp based korean game in which there were 3 modes of gameplay, normal, hard, and ultimate modes. Each mode you could level to 50 the same but each mode not only got harder but gave more stats per level. Normal mode was 5 stats (to be allocated in anything you wanted dex/int/rec/str etc..), hard mode was 7 stats and ultimate was 9 stats, an ultimate mode character if killed can be deleted without a special charm which had to be purchased with real money, thus a level 50 ultimate mode character was like 20 times stronger than a level 50 normal mode. Sorry for all that but my point was there was so much end game and pvp content in that game that it took me a 6 months of hardcore play just to become a noteworthy mage in the server, it took another 6 months to be the strongest mage in that server and finally the pvp was so enticing and fun that i was addicted to that game with no girlfriend until 2010....Now that was an mmorpg that held a hardcore gamers attention!
So you can say things like people shouldn't be using 40+ hours a week to play video games but the fact of the matter is that if the game had enough challenging content then even those 40+ hour a week guys wouldn't be complaining here.

No end content in 2.1? Crystal Tower is End content, for 24 man
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...=1#post1290186Will there be new levels of Bahamut in patch 2.1?
Next update for Bahamut is coming in patch 2.2. In .2.1 we’ll be adding Crystal Tower. Both updated will be done alternative. Bahamut > Crystal Tower > Bahamut > Crystal Tower, in that order.
I see. So it’s not like once you clear all of bahamut then you can challenge in Crystal Tower?
It’s not like that. Crystal Tower is alliance based end content while Bahamut is 8 player party based ultimate end content. We’ll update these in alternate.
I see, so both contents are not related, they are two separate individual end contents. So it’s even possible to do play Bahamut only since your group can’t get 24 people?
Yes, you can play like that as well.

What? No one doing coil will need to do crystal tower because it drops gear 10 ilvls lower and is a complete waste of time for character progression. No one farming turn 1-4 in coil right now will need to run crystal tower because why would they want inferior gear?
Crystal tower is for casuals, lower ilvl gear, more people required, can be carried through because it's 24 man, and overall much easier content than coil(stated by Yoshi). Coil requires all 8 people playing flawlessly. Hell, crystal tower will be doable in PUG's via DF(stated by yoshi)...something coil will never be able to do until they nerf it. So yeah, 2.1 adds no worthwhile end game content, it adds casual zerg content for casuals to progress their characters, but much lower ilvl than Coil. It's a seperate path to char progress, not extending the current very limited and lacking current end game content. This is assuming Extreme mode primals are as relevant as hard mode ones are now(do once for relics, then never again).
If this was WOW, think of it this way:
Crystal tower = Normal mode/LFR Raids
Coil = Hardmodes
Except coil was released 4 months before crystal tower, so you can't progress LFR /normal - > hardmodes because you already have ilvl 90 gear from coil/tokens and crystal tower is 10 ilvls lower.
Releasing crystal tower in the next content patch and no other form of progression(Assuming extreme mode primals just drop weapons and not ilvl 91+ gear) is backwards, it's releasing a raid 1 tier lower than the raid everyone's been doing for 4 months.
It's literally progressing backwards.
