    The first boss in Coil is already pug-able.

    The second boss is definitely a gear-check where each DPS must be pulling a minimum of 200 DPS as well as having the BRDs/Tanks Silence the Boss at the right time. If it doesn't you get Paralysis for 20 seconds and there's very little chances that you'll get through the next 20 seconds alive.

    Now, the third boss is something else: he hits the MT for over 7K damage every 10 seconds and he has this weird de-buff that everyone in the party gets. We have 4 groups in my FC running Coil and the #1 group is on the third boss. I'm still on the second but I think we'll be clearing it this weekend.

    Look, the OP's point is correct: the game is severely lacking in every single aspect of end-game content right now.

    Dungeons: you only need to run AK and CM. You can get fully geared from AK runs after about 5-7 runs.
    Raids: Coil is the only available one and the first boss is already being pug'd.
    Crafting: you can power-level most of you DoH classes once you get access to L15 Leves all the way L50 (once you have access to the L30 DoH Leves, it's an absolute joke). There doesn't seem to be much of a point as the end-game craftable items are still scarce and, currently, the most profitable item you can sell on the AH happens to be a L1 gathering item (**cough**SHARDS**cough**) whose market has been cornered by the RMTs and their army of bots.
    Leveling: I'm just adding that one there for the handful of people who appear to be scared of end-game and artificially stop their progression to focus on leveling other classes. I mean... to me that's bordering insanity. After you get your first char to L50, relying on FATEs and Levemetes to get you to L50 is a painful, painful experience. I have to level my DRG to 34 for Blood for Blood and I'm having an incredibly difficult time motivating myself to sit in Quarrymill for 3-4 hours to get L30.

    So yeah, we're almost 1 month into the game and I played it rather casually (2-3 hours per day on average while working full time -- 50+ hours week -- and a lot on the weekends), I'm kind of running out of content.

    When content isn't easy to come about, when you have to scratch your hair, check forums, reddit, and other places to find things to do, you know this game wasn't well thought-out, at all, in terms of endgame.

    I was crying, moaning, and bitching about having no accessibility to end-game since P3 Beta. And my fears have all been validated. Coil is the only "challenge" remaining in this game and I believe that it's only a matter of time before my FC group and I clear Coil well before November.

    In FFXI you had a level 50 cap, could only go to rank 5, there was no Dynamis, no Jungle, Bastilla Downs was high level PT spot, there was no SMN, NIN or SAM... It was like that for months until RoZ came out.

    In other words, chill.

    I wouldn't consider ADS as a DPS-check; if anything, this is probably a gear-check for the tanks. I've yet to see anyone bust the '12 Click' limit, which is the time limit you're likely referring to. Instead, most raids make it to ADS with 6 to 7 Clicks remaining, meaning there's six or more minutes to DPS the boss down. This is plenty of time for four DPS averaging 130 to 170, it's just that most people panic and and mess up the mechanics of the fight, either by failing to effectively transition tanks, silencing his paralyze, or passing the rot in a timely fashion.

    Also can we please retire the phrase "special little snowflake". It just sounds corny and now every time some non original person uses it some other idiot picks it up and acts like he made it up and is especially witty. Lol this post is a bit off topic but please come up with some other new term and try to be original not just recycle things you heard in posts from the first week.

    As for my opinion on endgame, I'm not there yet, should be by monday.... cant wait.

    ^This person knows what's up.

    People praise XI as an incredible MMO, which it indeed was as I played for 7 years, but they didn't
    quite have a ton of end-game to do at the beginning, either. Nobody knows 100% how Crystal Tower
    will work, or if SE has any surprises planned for 2.1 they haven't made public.

    There's really no way to judge the content or future of the game with legitimacy without knowing all
    the details. On top of that, they do still have time to change/add things before 2.1 hits. People think
    that because gear or crafting is broken right now, that it's just not going to change and the game is
    doomed and broken forever.

    Give them some faith and time.

    The real inherent problem here is that the locusts have nearly eaten through all the available content and are looking around wondering why there's nothing left to do.

    Hint: this game isn't designed for content locusts. The sooner you all realize this, the better. If what you want is a game with a ton of one specific kind of content (i.e. raids) then this is probably the wrong game for you.

    Yeah right, EQ raiding was horrendous, you're just looking through nostalgia glasses. (I do that often myself.) You really think people would be happy with 300 people attacking the same boss and then only 1 person out of that 300 getting anything out of it at all?     Wondering how you came to this conclusion when Yoshida has repeatedly stated he wants to focus on the end-game and that the 3 month content release schedules where to exactly provide such content at a reasonable rate.

    Right, but you can only do that so fast. These people who hit
    50 in 2 days, get relic weapon on day 3, clear 4 turns of
    Bahamut's coil in less than a week. What do you expect?
    You can't just flip a light switch on and poof, there's 5,000
    more hours of content.

    That's just the reality of it. If you choose to destroy the
    current end-game at extremely fast speeds, that's fine. If
    that's your playstyle, go for it. But you cannot honestly expect
    SE to just pump more and more content in every other
    week.
