Cry all you want NA it wont change.never did in FFXI either and the tear filled posts always continued.you dont want prime time maintanance? simple, play a NA mmo.
Might as well find another thing to gripe about, I've complained about this since '03. An update will NEVER be done in anything less than the slowest JP times.
People defending prime time maintenance...? Trolls gonna troll.
No, America isn't the center of the universe, but that doesn't mean it was a smart decision to schedule maintenance during our prime time. You're not refuting any points and you're not contributing to an answer. What are you doing?
No, we are not. However we make up the bulk of their player base.People defending prime time maintenance...? Trolls gonna troll.

Sorry if posted alreadycan only read so much complaining before skipping to end
"The hours between 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. (JST) has the lowest number of players and the effects of maintenance are lowest during this time frame. With the short maintenance occurring on Friday and Sunday mornings, it will reduce the need to have emergency maintenance like last night, and increase the stability and comfort of playing during weekend nights. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation"

So, to those who are using other places than "Murica!" are the lower % of the game, looks like you are the minority in this one =p

it's IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT in Europe
it's quite a favourable time actually. and I'm saying that even though I am one of the people that regularly play between 1-3 AM (local time for the maintenance for me)
I read your message a few times. Still having trouble figuring out what your trying to say. Something about taking something like a man?
Anyway, my point was every other MMO has made an effort to offset their maintenance with times of inactivity---for which ever timezone they are effecting.
I think your mad about being in EU or something? But yeah if your a chick hit me up. Thanks
EVERY other MMO has offset maintenance for the different timezones??! the hell? which games are you playing?
I'll tell you which games I am playing right now and when they do their maintenance:
SW:TOR
Date: Friday September 20th
Duration: 2 hours
Time: 3AM PDT (10AM UTC) - 5AM PDT (12PM UTC)
that's noon until two in the afternoon for Central Europe (where the vast majority of their European Playerbase lives), on a Friday, where a lot of people leave work at that time and a lot of schools close early, too
LOTRO (can't find any info on upcoming maintenance so here's the time for the last one)
EST: 09:00 AM – 11:00 AM (GMT-4)
GMT: 13:00 till 15:00
that's 15:00 (3 PM) until 17:00 (5 PM) for Central Europe (again, where the majority of European Players live)
soooo... granted this isn't 'prime time', but it's surely having an impact, and this is not taking into consideration that a maitenance time like that will ALWAYS hit Asia/Australia/Oceania the hardest, while 'prime time' in the USA means no other zone will be hit.
I think what you are talking about is ONE game, namely World of Warcraft.
I'll give you a hint why they do their maintenance separately:
there's different clients for each data centre.
that is not the case for SWOTR, LOTRO and ARR. I'd rather keep it that way. I'm not fond of paying two subscriptions for one game.

Can one not tread water, of which the sea is composed of?
