@ Mirabelle, thanks for being paranoid. Like bots would post on the worldwide SE website.

Where are you, STF?! WE NEED YOU!If you think you're going to save Eorzea by grabbing your pitch fork and initiating a witch hunt you're completely wasting your time. Unless botting is stopped on a mass SE level, it won't stop. The only time I saw SE make a dent in XI is when they launched the STF(U) team, they literally destroyed a generation of RMT.
lol.
On a completely unrelated note, ever since I submitted my first reply my internet/PC has been super slow. Could be the storm, or could be his bot-ways corrupting my interwebs :O DUN-DUN-DUNNNNNNNNNN (complete sarcasm btw, I don't REALLY think it's the storms doing it) :P

Only person one has to really respond to when out gathering is a GM if contacted by one.
If I was out farming mobs and got a tell from someone like that and they persisted or took it to shout chat, it would be very likely I would fill out one on harassment on them. Gathering without talking to people throwing accusations around is not against the ToS, but harassing/griefing others is. Might want to keep that in mind before trying to deal with suspected botters, as they can flip the tables on you.
I report them all the time when I see them, more often than not it is teleporting gatherers, or ones standing still killing stuff as it gets in range that are going to be the likely botters.

This all sounds like something a bot would say.
I deliberately ignore pokes and tells all the time. One time I had a joker who offered 24k to do a repair while I was crafting. Just trying to get me to flinch.
People can get pretty desperate to prove a bot, and will waste hours following someone poking waving. I find it amusing and gladly string them along with their fantasy.

i do the same thing honestly. i'll be ignoring their tells and pokes while the whole time laughing at them in voice with my ls/fc.I deliberately ignore pokes and tells all the time. One time I had a joker who offered 24k to do a repair while I was crafting. Just trying to get me to flinch.

Guys, I don't need aldgoats anymore for my ALC, so feel free to farm the hell out the ones in drybone and sandgate, pet jobs work best, CNJ or BLM would do well too to (gather together) them into a nukeable space. Feel free to farm the heck out of them and get idiots who can't farm to moan.

I'm not going to call you a bot, but I saw something weird as fruck last night.
It was a level 30ish Gladiator in full tank gear between 23-30 running Sashtasha. He'd target one monster in a group and fight it while running in circles around it, not use any hate control abilities and we basically were relying on the second lancer in the group to play flash tank for adds. Luckily She knew what she was doing and we were ok, but it made the whole run take longer than it should. I started to wonder if it was a bot because it would stand still until we targeted something, then it would go after what ever we targeted. It was fighting a mob and when I pulled away to pick an item off the floor it followed me trying to grab the same item. Did this multiple times.
Was creepy as fruck. He even did it to the Ripples in the boss fight.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
