I don't care how efficient someone is at farming as long as third party scripts aren't involved. It's pretty obvious, popping from one node to the next without moving like a normal character. I think it's pretty easy to tell the difference, so I'm not sure what that guy's problem was. I can only assume we've seen so many bots and RMT invading the servers that it's easier to just assume than actually watch what someone is doing.

when i'm out farming you can shout all you want, but i can assure you that i don't respond to your shouts. that doesn't make me a bot. i use a controller and farm mobs while laying in bed so i use voice chat only. i have no need to type nor do i care what is said in the process.

Ok so I was leveling ALC, and needed some aldgoat horns. So I went out as SMN with Garuda and started blowing up lots of goats, tagging them with Ruin 2 and farming loads. Within an hour I was accused of being a bot. I didn't answer the accuser a couple of tells, then he got all I GOT YOU in tell and I blisted him.

Later, still leveling ALC, blue landtrap leaves farming, back on SMN and blowing up the Kedtraps (whilst as a sideline helping miners doing leves round there, it's infested with agro traps)... within an hour I was accused of being a bot. Just because I was better at farming with Ruin 2 and Garuda than he was on a level 25 meleer (sigh).

That's what I'd say too...IF I WERE A BOT.

If you think you're going to save Eorzea by grabbing your pitch fork and initiating a witch hunt you're completely wasting your time. Unless botting is stopped on a mass SE level, it won't stop. The only time I saw SE make a dent in XI is when they launched the STF(U) team, they literally destroyed a generation of RMT.
