I think this is the only thing you CAN do really.

Just take note, I believe SE has said to "please be careful" which PSN account you register FFXIV:ARR to.
This leads me to believe they might not be able to help you and that you just bought your friend the game... pretty much what was said.

if you need the game linked to your account Se cannot fix it as its a Psn accocunt.. Call up Se... Explain what happned.. There really good about fixing it you will need your friend there to confim and give his account info also.. After that they can swap the link to your account..
