Nope, we all pretty much understand where the disagreement comes from: you think you're really awesome. That's fine, you probably are awesome. The problem is, suggestions should not begin "Im awesome and youre not, so: xyz"

I think I'm awesome? No, I don't think I'm "awesome" that I can autorun to the chocobo stables, then autorun back. How did you even get this from my post? I want the game to be more challenging and encourage people to pay attention and try, is this a crime now? I don't understand peoples replies to me at all, it's like you're so offended I think this game is too easy...

Disagreeing doesn't mean you should attack me, that's the problem. People disagree and instantly start to assault the person who disagrees with them instead of trying to figure out why they think that way, and come to a mutual understanding.

You just don't know how to make a point without sounding respectful to the other side who either like the opposite of what you're arguing or don't have a problem with it.

You just do not have great skills when debating an issue. No matter how small it is. Your opinion, to you, seems highly sophisticated and everyone who disagrees are "stupid". Please grow up.

also quest markers arent that bad, i like how its in sort of a chat bubble instead of a big !!!!!! over the mob like in many other games

I said "Do they think we're lazy and stupid?" not "EVERYONE IS LAZY AND STUPID!!". I assume everyone isn't lazy and stupid, but the game ENCOURAGES us to be that way, why? I don't want to be lazy, I don't want to be handheld to level50/75/100/whatever. Do you? I want to feel challenged.

I am representing the people I talked about, who talked to me, saying this is their last hope, and if it fails they won't play MMOs for a while again. Not you, not other people, simply the people I personally talked to who agree with a lot of my opinions. Why couldn't you understand that from what I said?

That's the general tone you convey in almost every post you make. You probably don't even realize you do it, but that's where the hostility towards you comes from. You seem pretty passionate about the game, and it's cool to express that. You just need to learn how to do it in a less condescending way.

I insulted one guy, because he told me he only plays for the "reward" and doesn't care about anything else. He spams enter/X through the text and only wants what's at the end. That's annoying and ruins stuff, a game shouldn't be designed around that. If you ONLY design around that, it alienates one type of the population, if you do it the normal way both players get what they want. The "reward only" people get the reward, eventually, and the people who want a story, as challenge, a puzzle, w/e, get what they want as well. Win/win situation.

Well, since you cited an example as to why you hate them in the OP, let me cite an example why I'm for them. In some quests, your trigger point to continue the quest happens to be in the middle of the thanalan desert. In order to see where you're going, you first have to use the journal map to find the general location then teleport/run/whatever there. After this, you run out into the middle of the desert and currently a quest marker pops onto the mini-map letting me know oh hey its that bush over there. The alternative is using my journal map over and over again until eventually my hot and cold game finds it.

That's not immersion to me, it's asinine. When there is no visual indication where I need to be for a quest, I really appreciate not having to make it into a needlessly complicated task.

I'm fine with quest markers for some things, like that. I think I stated that in my OP or somewhere later. However, I'm not ok with some of the uses of the quest markers, like the example in my OP. It was literally a path of quest markers showing me how to get to the chocobo stables x_x
