    Warrior Attributes

    Where do you think they should go? I'm just testing other different ways of placing them.. During leveling and a good portion of my post-game I had 30pt into strength.. It was great.. Nice damage.. enmity.. Inner beast gave me very good heals.. But I kinda lacked the HP (With current gear I had 6.1k HP in a full group which isn't bad in my opinion)
    Now I'm currently testing out 30pt into vitality.. My HP is up to 6.7k in a full group which is AWESOME don't get me wrong but I tried Ifrit HM and I felt more squishy for some reason.. Felt like I took more damage and I tried Wanderer's Palace (Wasn't enough time for AK before maint) The healer barely casted cure on me cause I didn't really take any damage most of the time but maintaining hate on the adds seem just a little more difficult.. Probably not a big issue and it'll be resolved while playing like this more probably but I personally don't like it..
    Anyways.. where do you guys put your points and why?

    After testing out vitality for a bit I may try 10str/20vit or 20st/10vit.

    I put them all in VIT. Main reasons are Stoneskin shield is health percentage based thus more HP, more Shield, and scholars Lustrate is a 20% of HP heal, thus a bigger heal. Also while STR helps your heals with IB and Bloodbath, the amount is minor.

    I went 30pts into STR. I have no trouble holding aggro. Im not squishy at all. I only have 1 DL neck and still 0/8 on ifrit wep. Ran AK last night and it was a breeze.

    Unlike Paladins where 30 Vit is really the only serious option, Warriors get a lot more out of Strength than their shield-using cousins.

    For paladins the choice is around 7% increased damage/threat vs 10% max HP (roughly, in average 50 gear). For Warriors, it will be the same choice, but the Warriors get a lot more options that scale damage output into self healing.

    Personally I'm going 15 Str 15 Vit on my Warrior, but I really feel that there's no bad choice for Warriors here. It's truly a personal choice as both are effective.

    If a healer is saying you're more difficult to heal, because there is less mitigation than a Paladin and just more HP buffer, maybe it's time to go the way of the Hulk and Strength up again. Find them DD accessories with Strength and Critical and trust that your attacks will hurt more, secure enmity more, and self-heal more, especially if you crit more.

    This may not bode well for supra-hits, but if the concensus is "you're hard to heal", then might as well hit harder right?

    Am I the only one trying out Dexterity for the bonus points? This adds to our damage avoidance, and up to level 36 has seemed to work quite well for me. I wish we could grab parses and pull real numbers so that we could test things more thoroughly.

    Dex gives very little in mitigation. The dex thresholds are increments of ~40 dex = +1% parry chance - and that is ALL you get out of dex. The threshold for str is about the same... every ~40 str gives you 1% parry damage reduction BUT str also gives you damage, and for warriors damage = more mitigation (threw self heals). And at lvl 50 +30 str gives you about 5-8% more damage. Vitality gives you 18 HP per point (with defiance up) and sure it will make those stoneskins worth about 5-8% more but stoneskin is rarely used during fights, this will also add the same amount to the heal on the sch % HP based heal. I personally went 30 str. But I think any combination of str and vitality is the way to go - as long as you are not placing your points into any other stat it is all preference and in the end will work out to close enough to the same that it makes no difference.

    30 vit. Like, for literally every class. The other stats don't give nearly as much improvement to a character as vit does.
