Starting today my computer started freezing up, then going black, then crashing in instance play (could not get through the Marauder lvl25 class instance). Sure hope their efforts to fix the instance/duty finder servers are successful.

That sounds more like a client side issue than server side.

Yes, could be, but I've tried everything I could think of to no avail. I'm in the middle right now of a clean reinstall of the game hoping that helps.

The announcement seems true. There is another maintenace at 11pm PDT. Eventhought it says it is for JP Data Center, NA/EU worlds are still shutting down.

No. That's GMT. It's talking about the maintenance as the one we're currently in, there's no maintenance later.

maybe i'm blind but i see the 23:00 GMT (ie the one right now) for the EU player announcment, but nothign about 11pm PDT

I see now the Japan servers had there maintenance already and now its the America servers this time. Its just confusing they post 4 threads for 2 separate maintenances.

The JP Maintenance was the scheduled Friday 2 hour maintenance Yoshi was talking about.. I'm sure they used that scheduled maintenance to make the same fixes they're doing now to the NA servers. It's most likely a fix for Hydra and Dhorme Khimaira not attacking.
