I honestly cannot express in words the feeling of disgust I got after I read that response.



I had this response too when I encountered an AFKer in a dungeon and reported it. They did at least say that they would investigate, but the official stance on it was more or less exactly what you said.
I've gotten the same response. In-action does not fall under griefing, no matter how outrageous the consequence.
