As to your idea of telling the party or logging off, I will tell you this much. If I had a real emergency im not going to take the time to logout of a game. I'm going to deal with the situation.

I think Takezo might have more of a problem with people calling this guy out and asking for his server to blacklist him over it, rather than that someone who is AFK should be removed from the party. At least, this is my problem. Public shaming is just as much harassment as purposely trolling a dungeon group (whether or not he did, who can say), and is extremely unnecessary. I don't think the OP posted this here to shame him either, I'm talking about a few of the comments on previous pages. Witch hunts aren't cool.and if u have an emergency , just say so and leave the party, or turn game off
if u dont have time to do that , and went afk , u are going to get kicked after 30 mins , how long have been this guy in the dungeon waiting while trolling the ppl that joins? look at the screenshot timers , more than 30 mins.
In my opinion, people who want a certain feature implemented are likely the ones willing to go to such measures as to create the biggest waves and try to attract attention.
I ask myself, why would people want this feature implemented. Simply, some people wish to have control over other people.
The kick feature solves nothing. It only flips the tables and moves the problem somewhere so that it can be conveniently omitted from ones thoughts or twisted to justify ones actions.
Wrongs are still committed and empowering that ability is a mistake. Just because it makes it convenient for your particular run and progress does not make it okay.
It would be just as simple to allow one way entry into the battle area but no exit.
Make friends. Do things with those friends. Avoid problematic people.
I cant tell is this idiot is being serious or just trying to troll.. honestly. My brain is absolutely baffled. Hey captain intellect... you DO realize it was a DUTY FINDER group right? So tell me, how do you "make friends and avoid problematic people." ... in a random group?
Secondly.. a kick function is a NEEDED command. If this guy had a LEGIT emergency and had to poof.. how many innocent people just suffered because of it with NO way out for them?
This is an MMORPG. This is not fuggin diablo 3. Socialization is a primary feature of the game. HOW do you expect those players to "make friends and not run with bad people." ... if they cant run with anyone to find out who those good and bad people ARE?!
It's a paradox of stupid worthy of a Doctor Who episode.
A kick feature WILL be abused. If it is implemented, how long do you think it will be before party leaders are kicking people for watching cutscenes? This specific mission is part of the main story, and people want to see it played out. If people could do that, it would become a nightmare and borderline impossible for someone to enjoy the game the way it was intended to be.
If it is set up as a vote kick system though, then you need to have a majority of people who are willing to be dicks about people watching cutscenes. Its not a party leader gets to do whatever they want system, but more of a majority rule kick system.
I don't think our servers are set up in the way that 5/7 people voting to kick someone would be jerks enough to kick someone for watching a cutscene.
Lol I've partied this guy before. He did not afk in the boss room when I was with him, but I can confirm he likes to afk (except when running through the dungeon >.>)
The most beautiful man to grace the Final Fanty, attractive and goodlooking girls please send me a message in game. Must be attractive and goodlooking. Thanks.
People can troll, grief and act like jerks without such a system in place, too. The difference is that in one of those cases you have to put up with it, whereas in the other you can either kick them (if the majority of the party agrees), or you could get kicked by a bunch of trolls (who would just grief in a different way if they lacked that power). Are either systems perfect? No. There is no such thing as a perfect system, but at least situations like the posted one (accident, or not) wouldn't completely halt the progress of a group after 30min - 1/2hrs in the queue, and then the time it would take to clearing up to that part.
* And in this case, it only takes one troll to grief a group (as one can do this with intent), whereas in your situation it would take 5+.

Ha i have fought with Rinoa before i am surprised you lot didn't go Bruce Lee on his ass and boot him over the wall. I agree on the need for a kick function but only once individuals have met certain criteria. (must be a auto kick function and not a player generated kick) For example if some noob sits there for a certain duration or doesn't reach checkpoints after a allotted time frame then he is auto kicked. If they lag out then the game needs to give the option to auto kick.
I don't want player generated kicks because the "smug" cloud of elitism has already reached astonishing levels on our server within just a few weeks. Giving a kick function will allow the annoying level of elitists a chance to boot people with less the superior weapons or skills making the game experience horrible for so many players.
Vote to kick or this keeps happening, and similar situations, I cannot be any clearer on that. The fact this game has no vote to kick system is sickening. So ANY one jackass who feels like completely screwing over all those other people is free to?
What are you smoking SE?
