If something like 4/5 Castrum seems to good to be true, turns out it is.
Run with people on your server and blist anyone on your server that does this to you.
The mobs could have attacked him really. Poor AI to its best.

In my opinion, people who want a certain feature implemented are likely the ones willing to go to such measures as to create the biggest waves and try to attract attention.
I ask myself, why would people want this feature implemented. Simply, some people wish to have control over other people.
The kick feature solves nothing. It only flips the tables and moves the problem somewhere so that it can be conveniently omitted from ones thoughts or twisted to justify ones actions.
Wrongs are still committed and empowering that ability is a mistake. Just because it makes it convenient for your particular run and progress does not make it okay.
It would be just as simple to allow one way entry into the battle area but no exit.
Make friends. Do things with those friends. Avoid problematic people.
I cant tell is this idiot is being serious or just trying to troll.. honestly. My brain is absolutely baffled. Hey captain intellect... you DO realize it was a DUTY FINDER group right? So tell me, how do you "make friends and avoid problematic people." ... in a random group?
Secondly.. a kick function is a NEEDED command. If this guy had a LEGIT emergency and had to poof.. how many innocent people just suffered because of it with NO way out for them?
This is an MMORPG. This is not fuggin diablo 3. Socialization is a primary feature of the game. HOW do you expect those players to "make friends and not run with bad people." ... if they cant run with anyone to find out who those good and bad people ARE?!
It's a paradox of stupid worthy of a Doctor Who episode.
A kick feature WILL be abused. If it is implemented, how long do you think it will be before party leaders are kicking people for watching cutscenes? This specific mission is part of the main story, and people want to see it played out. If people could do that, it would become a nightmare and borderline impossible for someone to enjoy the game the way it was intended to be.
People can troll, grief and act like jerks without such a system in place, too. The difference is that in one of those cases you have to put up with it, whereas in the other you can either kick them (if the majority of the party agrees), or you could get kicked by a bunch of trolls (who would just grief in a different way if they lacked that power). Are either systems perfect? No. There is no such thing as a perfect system, but at least situations like the posted one (accident, or not) wouldn't completely halt the progress of a group after 30min - 1/2hrs in the queue, and then the time it would take to clearing up to that part.
* And in this case, it only takes one troll to grief a group (as one can do this with intent), whereas in your situation it would take 5+.

With or without kick, people who need to go through the DF will be trolled. At least with it you have some semblance of control over more situations than others.A kick feature WILL be abused. And you do realise there are other games with the kick system that employ multiple support tools to make it more fair, right?
They're calling attention to a problem, of course they're trying to attract attention, how else do you get a problem noticed than to attract attention to it?
If you ask yourself questions and then get an answer I think you have bigger things to worry about than a vote to kick system. A vote to kick isn't about controlling others, it's about protecting yourself.
A kick feature would solve this exact issue, and other issues like people deliberately afk'ing until the last boss, or coming in naked and expecting to be carried, or spewing inappropriate things in chat that you can't blist. Of course it moves the problem elsewhere. You're not going to convince that troll to be nice, and we shouldn't have to waste our time doing so. Kick him and move on.
Explain to me exactly how kicking someone from a group for their behavior empowers them. Do you actually believe the mindless drivel you're typing?
This is a game, it's ALL ABOUT my enjoyment and progress. I have EVERY RIGHT to enjoy myself so long as I don't inconvenience others. This applies to everyone. The moment you decide to enjoy yourself at the expense of others is the moment you lose the right to participate with them.
This issue is bigger than just someone sitting afk locking out a boss. There are a variety of reasons for which a vote kick system is needed.
Most people playing this game have friends, most do things with those friends. Those friends aren't always on.
Why should someone be held hostage to running things only with friends?
Your post is insulting, you have this air of superiority in what you've typed and attempt to sound intelligent. It isn't backed up at all; however, with anything resembling rational thought or critical thinking.
I can only hope that you're just an excellent troll, but given the content of a lot of the discussions on these forums... I'm just not sure.
