TGS Titan Event and Cactaur Earrings?

So yeah... everyone on a randomly selected world gets a free pair of earrings? So thousands of players get a free goodie, and thousands of players do not. I don't know if I like this. Is it going to be 100% biased towards the JPN servers? Do you think they'll do it enough so all servers get it? Thoughts?

You missed the "Each time Titan falls" part. It's not a one-time deal where only one server will be picked.

I interpreted it as this is a limited time deal of just the TGS event time frame. If they only down him 10 times, that's only 10 servers getting the earrigs, no...?

More than 10 groups will win. The game is already out, people have had time to beat this content already. The challenge will give you a full party of 8 people for the level 34 story mission. I would imagine all worlds getting the earrings.

It doesn't. I never said I was stating fact - thus why I started this thread. What if it's only "random" to the servers of those who actually participate in the battle? If that is the case, then of course there would be JPN server bias - as I'm pretty sure most players at the event will be Japanese on JPN servers. Details were a bit vague imo. Please, I am not trying to start some QQ anti-Japanese player/server topic... Just trying to see what other people think of this.

The worlds that get earrings are chosen via random-select. Every time Titan is killed, a new world is given earrings (that sounds quite silly out of context). Over the course of 4 days, it's highly likely that Titan will die enough for every server to get earrings.

just the idea that getting something that looks that cool is just random chance seems weird

This is why I'm very interested in these earrings. I can actually use them haha... (plus I like event goodies). I don't understand why there isn't a healthier selection of earrings pre level 29 - especially for casters.

We have no idea how the TGS/SE reps will handle party formations at the event. What if groups have to get "approved" before fighting? (If anyone actually knows, please chime in!) Also, if a server is chosen twice, I'm guessing they would reroll what server gets the earrings, right? >.>

That's true, we don't know how they're handling the party formations. I believe they've held similar primal battle demos at other events before, so perhaps people who have been to those know how this works?

In any case, I'm pretty sure they want to attract people to their booth and want to give out some t-shirts, so chances are that the reps will be on-hand to help walk players through the battle as necessary. The battle is also "refined especially for TGS", so we don't even know if it's at the same difficulty as (or harder/easier than) the normal Titan in game.


I'd assume no world can get chosen twice, but that's fairly unclear.

Well, we'll see how it goes! Keep your fingers crossed, I suppose.
