Garuda premade Loot Rules?

So I have a question, perhaps I missed some loot rule that is implied in premade groups. But I join a garuda premade group, one of the tanks asks if anyone needs the bow. I am a bard so I promptly explain yes, I do. A few other non bards speed up as well saying they need it. I ignore them since they are not bards in this run. Bow drops after a few kills, of course I rolled need. The tank rages at me for not greeding on it with everyone else who needed the bow. Then threatens to tell everyone he knows i am scum. So did I do something wrong here? I never agreed or implied I would pass on the bow. So I know I did not mislead anyone.

If I'm a random popping into a premade group, if an item drops for me that I can need, I'm going to need it. Plain and simple. If you don't want to be beat on the roll, come as that class.

I think you were fine. The tank may have thought that since it was a premade group, normal loot rules did not apply and that everyone should have greeded on the drop. I still think that since you went as bard, you should've absolutely have first go at the drop. Further, did all of the other drops go to greed rolls or did it just so happen to be that presumably the one item you really wanted was the one they decided should be greed only?

No, just the one, item, every other item that dropped was greeded or needed like normal. We had a smn book and pld sword before the bow, nothing out of the ordinary on the 2.

Like you said, you never agreed to it and so you didn't mislead anyone. If people are queuing a premade, they can't exactly expect the randoms they get to fill the missing slots to follow their loot rules. If they want to be able to do things differently, then they should bring along a full pre-made party (presumably of FC members). Otherwise it's their own fault.

The way we play it is if you go to the fight and your weapon drops for your class (and you don't already have one) then Need it.

If no-one can need, then priority goes to people with a 50 of that job completed.

If no-one has a 50, then it's a free-for-all.

You definately were in the right...how are they going to try and want even odds when they are not on that job. Forget them and enjoy your new awesome bow...cannot wait until I am at that point and trying to get mine. The only exception would have been if they pre-told you in order to join up we GREED Roll on everything and don't jack us and then you turned around and needed after you said you would gree. But since you did not do that you are good to go and they can suck it and come with a full party of GREEDERS next time.

Premades usually have groups of people playing classes the group needs; and not what they want. (IE: I tend to have to play scholar over summoner) and are two different items. Pugging duty finder, and premades are always two different entities.

You where bard so i dont see an issue. If you were not on bard then maybe he have had something to say.

Example: Lastnight i want on my relic bard, just for fun with the slight hopes for a axe for my WAR, no war in group and Axe dropped. Both PLD tanks and one DPS all dais they wanted it so in the end we all greed rolled. Turns out I had WAR 50, the other 3 were MRD 13, 15 and 15... that made me MAD, and is something that's kinda messed up if you asked me. If they were even say 30+ i'd been fine with it, as I'd at least think they may be leveling the job currently.
