Open digital download sales again.

Hire some people that have a main job description of identifying and banning botters/hackers/cheaters.

Let them loose finding and banning accounts of botters/hackers/cheaters.

Force botters/hackers/cheaters to purchase a new copy of the game.

Rinse/repeat. Instant increase in revenue.

Please +1 this post if you agree that something needs to be done about the botters/hackers/cheaters running rampant in FFXIV.

Sometimes those banners are someones characters that have been hacked. Like mine!
Don't hate them so much, cause those poor people will have to wait up to 2-3 weeks to get it back.

Sorry, but no. You don't ever get "hacked" in MMOs. YOU made the mistake of inputting your PW on a phishing site, or gave your account info over for powerleveling services. I'm not saying support shouldn't be willing to return it to you, being the rightful owner, but your account security is always you're responsibility to begin with.

If they could come up with an easier way to get RMT out of the game and save hacked accounts the 2-3 week wait I'd be all for it. Until then, immediate ban hammer to stop their activities is the best way. If they can't be productive making GIL they can't sell it. Problem solved.
