    Not a joke...

A reference to how xp grinding can be min/maxed and the sheep shall follow.

Krisan obviously thinks that the situation I am describing can't and won't ever happen. Unfortunately it has always been the norm until recent MMOs found other ways to grind xp (FATEs for example).

I remember having to "wait in line" for a spot to open up so I could get to 50 because there was no quicker way to grind out that last 5+ levels. Ah the good 'ole days.

If mob grinding was easier/faster in FFXIV, everyone would do it, but that is not viable because the more groups you put at a prime location lessens the benefit for all.

EDIT: Oh... +1 interwebs for you!

You can tell the nerds that leveled up before questing/fates/instances were introduced into MMO's. It's like your parent(or grandparent) that grew up in the 50's and 60's and actually had to work for their position in life. Oh how the world changes...

I wouldn't refer to gaming as work but yeah I am a giant nerd.

I wish ppl on my server would do this. I would be all over this instead of fate grinding. I think ppl like seeing those fat exp totals popping up on screen but I feel the exp/hr on them are terrible. If anyone on Behemoth wants to do this send me a tell in game! Party can I have it? Lol

I've been slowly gathering some potential EXP camps. Please try some of these areas and let me know. I'll post a few below. Most have FATEs.

    Group Level: 23-25
Area: Camp Bronze Lake - East, fight Pugil(Lv.30) & Urganites(Lv.31)

    Group Level: 27-29
Area: Camp Bronze Lake - West, fight Mamool Ja(Lv.33) & Salamander(Lv.34)

    Group Level: 28-29
Area: Camp Overlook - Kobold Dig, fight Kobold(Lv.34-35)

    Group Level: 34-36
Area: Camp Overlook - East, fight Kobold(Lv.41) & Grenade (Lv.42)

    Group Level: 39-40
Area: Aleport - West to Sahagin area, fight Sahagin(Lv.45) & Sea Wasp(Lv.46)

    Group Level: 40-41
    Area: Camp Overlook - U'Ghamoro Mines, fight Kobold(Lv. 47) & Coblyn(Lv.48)

    Group Level: 43-44
Area: Aleport - West to Serpent's Tongue, fight Reavers(Lv. 49)

These are just of few of the areas I've noted down. Let me know if the areas are level appropriate and have a sufficient supply of mobs. If these work out I'll add the rest of my findings.

So you buy a game to work this hard in it... what actually happened to fun in games, all MMO's seem to be is grind and tedium, honestly i have played a lot of mmo's but these days its all about speeding to end game, efficiency and how l33t i look at the end, standing in some city...

It's weird i play for the experience and the actual story, not a grind i should be paid a wage for doing..

In an MMO, effective time management has its own rewards, if you can power your way to 50 in one night, you can spend the rest of the time you would normally had on low lvl FATEs on more important things, farming, doing dungeons and other things that would yield a MUCH higher rewards than FATE grinding. The OP has a very good option given to ppl now that FCs can take advantage of.

On one hand I like that people might party together and form real groups... on the other hand it seems so absurdly fast that there's no fun in it...

Less than a week to cap every class I'd ever want to play? Not a lot of staying power, there.
