Organizing the Armoury Chest

I wanted to start a discussion about armoury chest management. I'm only level 27 with my main class but having started 6 different classes up to now, I already see a problem that probably gets harder so solve as you start more classes.

How do you organize your gear in order to not get lost with all the pieces you carry around? I have tried to keep my Armoury Chest clean and use different rows of every category to sort my gear a little. But I see this getting even harder, when I have more classes to switch between

The problem: Some pieces are used by more than one class. However, the pieces do not display which equipment sets they are used in. This way, figuring out when an item can be sold is a real pain. I'm afraid of selling items my current class doesn't need anymore because I can't easily see whether another class uses this item too. An option to let you see which sets include a certain piece would really helpful

Can you give me some ideas how to make my life easier?

I agree, it is sort of a problem.

I've also noticed that sorting the armory is class specific. so if I sort it, and then change class, it's all messed up and I have to sort it again. don't understand that.

I think I wind up taking a hour just to sort the bloom thing out, just for during the course of playing to be one big mess again. Much like you Tekaru... Messy Messy...

Unless SE allows development of add ons or implements more tools for inventory management, its a class in itself... Wardrobe Moogle... <.<;; It just get worse when you try more than a few classes... For me so far I've tryed keeping my main job gear a the top of the chest, the followed by the seconadary job then my crafters and then gathers... then sort by ilvl... but this doesn't always work or stay clean...

Make me miss WoW's add ons and gear management a wee bit...

Yeah, don't get me wrong I am glad the armory exists since we need to lug around so much gear. But yes it needs better management. A huge improvement would be a simple icon indicator to show if an item was in a saved set. It would also help to have filters/highlighting options based on class (so I can say, show me all ARC gear or something).

But sorry, I have not figured out any tricks around it either. Like others I try to organize mine in rows and then by ilvl or known use. If it's something I want to sell or convert, or something I need to store on retainer, I put it in the bottom right so I remember it's there.

And yes it gets messy again. And every now and then I swap between all my sets and rearrange again to find the "missing" pieces, ie the ones I no longer use but are still hiding in my armory.

Agreed!!! Thats Why I keep pen and paper on my desk....
