    Fairy A.I.

I know a lot has been said on this subject, but I want to ask straigt up, why sic and obey don't function for fairy pets at all, I mean it not a hard concept instead of applying to enemies thye would apply to allies, this would solve lots of issues, being able to use obey with Eos would solve pretty much every issue with the A.I. or at least I think so.

that's my point they should, at the very least something to keep the pet from spamming it spowers needlessly putting them on cool down, I don't mind having micro manage the pet I just cant stand the pet spamming powers willy nilly, drives me batty

I would love to be able to use sic and obey to have her follow other players, as well as having easier controls for using her abilities.

It sounds like you already know this, but putting her in steady and then casting your own heal will force her to only use embrace. Of course if you manually activate her aoe heal, she'll go back to guard stance soooo...

Haven't yet tested dragging pet actions to my hotbar and hotkeying them that way. Maybe that doesn't force her back to guard.

Fairy AI issues at the moment:

-Does not move out of enemy area attacks (red zones).

-Spams 1/2/3 ability on CD continuously through match on lowest target.

-Reduction in damage taken is not working properly with all mobs.

    -No priority target/ability options

    -No fairy swap available

-pet abilities can not be used in target macros

    Ways to better AI -

    - Add macros capabilities for pet abilities and actions

    - Add stances or priority targeting system for pets

    - Let players use Aetherflow stack to insta switch fairies

    - Allow macros for pet abilities.

    - Give Fairy AI the capability to move out of enemy attacks or player the option to prioritize casting/positioning for the fairy.

    - fix pet damage reduction
Squeak69 - why sic and obey don't function for fairy pets at all, I mean it not a hard concept instead of applying to enemies thye would apply to allies, this would solve lots of issues

I hope fairies never move out of red zones. They take very little area damage and I want to stay put wherever I place them. If I want them out I simply using Heel or replace them. On single target damage sure they take a lot of damage, but I believe they are supposed to. In this case I would just use Heel again.

As for switching fairies mid-battle there is really no good situation for this so it is not really needed. Out of battle you will have time to summon the other fairy as you check loot. Everything else I agree with especially the macro bits.

Here is one thing wow did really well, it was pets. The player could simply right click a pet skill and it would be auto-cast or be managed by the player. I don't mind my Fairy getting in aoes and taking dmg while it is annoying that is my problem I need to move her. What is a big deal is when my pet is busting my CD when it wants, this drives me crazy and makes healing damn near impossible in some fights.

Say I need Fey Illumination then Whispering Dawn on my party, but the fairy thought it was a good idea to use the CD on the fight right before the current fight... WHY! I have my pet skills all key-bound and are on my bars, but there isn't any point in using any of them when they are always on CD. The only skill I force my pet to use is Embrace.

Please SE... Please make it so auto-casting can be turned off. Setting a pet to Obey doesn't do anything! The pet still uses its skills when it pleases.

I came here to write up exactly the same issues.
Fairy scripts are lazy copy paste of DD avatars.
I presume at least some of the devs played Final Fantasy XII - give us gambits for pets already.
