Listings disappearing

After a while, a few days or so of being inactive on a character (me being on main/RL stuff), that character's retainer's listings simply disappear off the markets. Checked this myself with other characters and asked friends to check too.

When I do log-on on that character and check on the retainers, at first it won't display any listings for a few mins ( "So-so is curently selling "x" items). Come back in a few mins and it displays it again on the retainer window and back at the market.

That saying, do retainers stop selling your listings after a little inactivity? Or does the market automatically block listings from inactive retainers? Thanks for any info given

I believe your listings will be removed after a few days if you don't check up on them. That said, I cannot find any place in the game that states that, so I can't be sure.

They are indeed removed. When you pull up a retainer selling items, it lists "Currently selling X# items until Y date." if you do not summon them before the date listed and dismiss them they stop selling.

Have a couple of questions. When you last dismissed your retainer, what was the selling end date on the message? Did you come back before that day or after? If it was after, then yes, your stuff stops selling past that date on your retainer. If it was before then there's a game bug with retainers and how long your sales stay active.

I summon my retainers fairly regularly, but I suppose this could explain why people have bought an item for more gil than I'm selling it for—apparently my item wasn't showing up. I wonder what the point of this functionality could be.

Yes I noticed the expiration date of the listings that's why it's weird, but it still removes it before they expire. So I'm guessing inactivity plays a part in listings disappearing, or a bug, not sure.

Send a bug report. I have not played for a couple of days (wekendish) and when I went back, my items were still on my retainers.
