Suggestion: Add Beastman Lord Boss Trials

If you've played FFXI (and I'm certain many here have), then the following names may seem familiar to you: Overlord Bakgodek, Za'Dha Adamantking, and Tzee Xicu the Manifest. I'm not familiar with the earlier era of XI, but I believe these bosses were hunted quite often (not so much in later days).

One thing I like is boss fights - and the Primals were a very good example of how you could essentially isolate a boss fight into a single dungeon-like area and make it seem really important/decisive/etc.

However, I rarely saw this with the Beastmen themselves. And considering how the Primals aren't always around to command them, the Beastmen have to have some kind of leadership among them. And if they do, they must be insanely strong, yes?

So why aren't there Beastman Lord Boss Trials for Amal'jaa/Ixal/Sahagin/Kobold/Sylph/Qiqirn/Mamool Ja/Gigas races? Furthermore, why do locations like Natalan/Sylphlands/Zahr'rak(?)/U'Ghamaro/Sahagin Nest have very little reason to visit them?

I think there needs to at least be some kind of high level boss of these kinds with a unique model, not unlike the above bosses I mentioned. Going through the Sylphlands MGS-style was fun and exciting at first, but then it was like.... why bother?

What do you guys think? Any thoughts?

There are NM FATEs that are the current chieftains of of the beasttribes. In 1.0 they were always there but if I recall didn't really drop anything "amazing"

In fact, I seem to recall the grand companies actually sent you to kill the Ixal, kobold, and almaal' jaa leaders in 1.0 (for 2nd Lt. I think). All I know is that I have the old achievements for killing them

there are fates about then i believe - i bumped into them when explorinf. but they are a bitch to get to. im not sure if they drop anything in arr, but if they do, many would start hunting them in no time.

I know about the FATES; I saw a few - they just looked like enlarged, generic Beastmen. Specifically in Sylphlands and Sahagin Nest (there was one in Natalan, but I didn't get a chance to peek deeper inside to see if it was a unique skin).

What I meant when I said "unique" was the way that Bakgodek/Za'Dha/Tzee Xicu were skinned. I don't believe that those particular NMs had shared model skins (model bones, perhaps, but not skins). Adding a different layer to the actual mobs themselves, as opposed to just enlarging the model bones in question and using the same skin. Bakgodek had the same bones set (size too, I believe) but all the other stuff made him look larger than his other Orcish compatriots.

That's what I meant. Also, in the Story quest version of Titan (don't know if this is present in HM), there's a Kobold laden in unique gold armor - I didn't see him in my trek into U'Ghamaro. If the guy in question is the NM for the Kobolds, I'd love to see a screenie (not to mention I'll prolly go down and check him out myself).

I don't recall the Amal'jaa or Ixal having anything like that either (and to be fair, Sastasha's boss suffers the same fate that Sharknado does - just the same model enlarged).
