Most of it is simple to get, except that "Vanya Silk" is apparently harder to find than a duty finder group that can clear hard mode titan.

Apparently it needs a lot of potash which sells for abusive amounts at the moment on the markets, meaning this is very pricy for something so simple that doesn't even offer combat boosts in any way. I'm guessing at a later date things will be changed/patched and this will be easier to acquire, but I'm quite impatient.

If any Weaver would like to work with me on this and hammer out some kind of deal, I'd greatly appreciate it. I need my adorable rat minion. I've always had quite the infatuation with the cute little guys ever since FFXI (Looking at you, Nashmau).

Vanya silk is not hard to get, you only need Potash x9 for the craft.

Potash can be obtained by trading in Tomestones of Philosophy @ Revenant's Toll, afaik 1 Potash costs 125 tomes.
And it's pricy because you need Vanya Silk for crafting the iLvl 70 Vanya Set of Healing/Casting which is atm the best crafted Healer/Caster gear in game.
And also, you'll need 1125 tomes for 1 Vanya silk, which translates into 12 Castrum or Pratorium runs (or 15 x Amdapor Keep)

Oh boy sounds easy enough if you actually have the time to spend all day on the game spamming dungeons. The need for 9 potash is a bit over the top. SE could drop it down to 5 and would make it easier for people to actually obtain, the prices on the markets is excessive as well not everyone has over a million Gil to spend on the full amount that is needed just to make one silk, especially as most of the dark light gear has better stats unless you spend the time HQ'ing the Vanya set and then spending even more on material to meld to the top.
I would just like to see the amount of potash to come down a little but not too much that everyone can spam make it even though do need good crafting gear to reach the tier 2 caps

Well, for the GEAR maybe the 9 potash could be justified (I suppose?) since gear will always take some amount of effort to get, especially the end game variety. But, yeah...

This isn't about the gear, this is a non combat pet I'm talking about. The Wind-up Qiqirn should not take the same amount of materials (aka: over 1 million gil worth) to create. It is not an end game gear item. It is an adorable rat minion (even the description when you hover over the Qiqirn attests to this.) They should really change that Vanya silk requirement to craft it.

Yeah I agree the minions should be changed to a different material not Vanya, the other crafting jobs that make the minions don't require a stupid item like that to craft

There is no information on how to get that yet. All but the buffalo calf, mini mole, fledgling apkallu and wind up goblin is known. The bluebird and tender lamb have been seen on market wards but the method hast been shared
