Where did my heath bar go?

When i join in a FATE, i can see my heath bar clearly but often as the combat intensifies, my bar disappears. I have not dived into the UI to try to figure out what it is called and where to move it but thought to ask here for advice on this. It is difficult to know when to use what skills if i can't tell at a glance how my overall health is doing. As it is often almost impossible to tell what enemy i am attacking i keep using the Tab to make sure i have at least ONE target but sometimes i draw in a NPC enemy that is not part of the FATE and then waste time having to deal with them.

I believe we can also find a second health bar where enemies are hitting on us, but that does not always appear either, i only see bars on the left for the single foe or foes i am attacking and it does not have a bar next to it for me.

any tips on the missing health bar?

First of all - by default - the healt bar will appear only if your health is less than 100% (you can change that in settings to be always displayed). Secondly - and this is pretty annyoing for me as well - the mob's health bar(s) is / are overalip (covering) your health bar so you might not see it all the time depending on your camera position. Personaly - I think this should be changed to have your own health bar prioritised / alwasy displayed on the top "layer". Sometimes it will get even covered by the object in the foreground ...

As a "workaround" - if you in the group (or have your chocobo companion out or carby pet) you can watch your health in the party list instead (or activate the option to show the party list always) plus if you have mob selected and it's targeting you you can also see your health bar next to the mob's bar on the top of the screen. Finally - you have always your bottom HP / MP / TP bars there as well.

i will see if i can find it and move it in the UI setup window.

In the character configuration you can make it so the party frame is active even when you are solo.
