Namingway Card items?

I realize that you can create a character on a different world with the same name, then transfer ($18 USD) the character you want to have the name change done to that world to force a different name... but if all your friends and the free company you are with is on the world you are coming from, then you have to wait 3 days and pay another transfer fee to go back.

I made the mistake at announcing a bot. The person eventually returned to their PC and saw I called them out. Now it is almost borderline harassment. The player won't actually "say" or "tell" anything but uses emotes targeted at me. Somehow the person knows where I am at and like actively seeks me out. They will disrupt any farming attempts I am doing so it makes it very difficult to get materials I need to make gear.

I guess the point is, if SQ. Ex made the name change and optional service via Mog Station for, say, $5 or maybe $10 I know I would not hesitate to do it. I am also pretty sure that others would do it too.

I hate my life. I don't really care about FATEs one way or the other. I made my character day 1, I had no idea FATEs were part of the game.

I don't understand why this was not implemented with the Fantasia potion if you can change gender. It would make more sense to have the option no matter what, instead of just when there is a name conflict.

Absolutely, positively, HELL FRIGGIN NO.

Namingway cards would get rid of any semblance of accountability the game still has. People will be rude jerks and eventually get blacklisted to the point nobody will party with them or when they add kicking to parties they'll get kicked right away due to reputation. But if there are namingway cards, they can avoid any punishment or accountability by simply changing their name.

I can't recall the name of the MMO but, it used to have name change service but there used to be a function in the website where you could search the person, and it would show the names he has used, so pretty much your bad rep could not be erased with a name change.

I want this, so bad. Veteran reward, event item, quest item, purchased with real or in game money, addition to Fantasia. Any of that would be fantastic. I chose Miqo'te and now regret it, but don't want a Miqo'te name on an Elezen. My server is almost always locked and I doubt if I transferred off I could get back on easily. During the transfer lockout, I would be off my unofficial RP server, and the other unofficial RP server is usually locked as well. That's not a feasible solution. I don't mind paying the money, but the complications involved is too high.

I don't understand the resistance based on "Grievers will abuse this!" Why hold the entire community of good people back for the handful of bad? And more than likely, if it's like other games, name changes don't remove you from a guild list, friend list, or black list. It just changes your name on that list. The person would remain ignored.

Sorry for the rant, I just -really- want this.
