Name change added on WITH the bottle would be nice. Silly you can't change the name with it. If I did use the bottle I'd want to play a male Mithra (Shhh I won't stop calling it that!) but I wouldn't want to be keeping a feminine name like my current hume has, just would be silly.

I haven't read the entire thread so maybe someone has brought this up already but - maybe a good "middle of the road" solution is to allow changing your character's FIRST name only?

I know I've read a lot of players with reservations about name changes - but I feel like if a player can only change their first name it will still tie them down to their original identity. Maybe?

I mean they could simply show the name change in the character's Lodestone newsfeed somewhere too. Honestly there are a endless number of ways to make sure people don't use this to dodge reputations.

Honestly I have to say that a number of the people saying that we need to hold people accountable are pretty funny. This game doesn't hold anyone accountable for anything now. You can pretty much DF everything so you don't even have to deal with your own server. You can't tell someone their dps is bad or they can report you. You can walk into a CT roll on loot then leave the moment you get it even if you weren't part of a fight without anything happening despite your jerkishness. So why do people need accountability when this game already laughs at any idea of that thought?

Now that we all have the option to change the gender of our characters, I would like to throw in my support for both a name change service and a 'gender specific gear' exchange vendor.

As annoying as it would be for a transsexual to be running around as a female named "Mr Manly Pants", it is even more annoying to have completed the Lightning event and be unable to equip the rewards.
