I had both DPS drop out on me on this last dungeon run, and they weren't replaced for like 5 minutes.

I was dropped earlier (see the other two threads about it) but it seems to have calmed down a bit.

It was never rubberbanding for me, but it kept acting like it stopped recieving data, as in I could keep walking, casting magic or something, but everyone else was standing still. I've been dropped twice.

Just throwing my support behind this post, as of this morning I am getting massive lag when connecting to the game server. When pinging / tracerouting the IP addresses provided I don't see anything out of the ordinary.

It looks to me like there is an issue with the network infrastructure behind their load balancer / gateway.

I'm with Wavebroadband in Washington state and the trace is to 184.107.107.176. I'm not sure how to check what IP that ffxi.exe is connected to.

No proxy or firewall.

edit edit Found it and I'm connected to 199.91.189.48. Did a ping and 100% packet loss

I'm also with Wavebroadband and having the issue.. I'm going to give those guys a call and see if they know anything.

EDIT: They said they hadn't heard anything, but the node having the issue is not one they can route around and is also not one they own. We would have to contact cogentco directly. Evidently Champions Online, World of Warcraft and several other MMOs also route through them and I see lots of posts (mostly old ones) from players of those games who experienced lots of issues of this same sort as well.

Please post what you find out. I too am so lagged I cannot run a dungeon instance. I'm a tank, the leader, and half the time in an instance the mob I stand in front of isn't there anymore 2 seconds later.

This is getting a bit ridiculous. I've had to turn down invitations to start Coil because I'm not confident about my ability to carry my weight this these lag spikes.

Even though I have high ping around 240ms, I did AK and avoided red circles with no problem. Hopefully, it stays like this at least.

I was fine for the past few hours but now the lag spikes are back again....comcast Michigan. I had comcast check my service yesterday and everything was fine and this is the only game Im having the issue with (GW2 and SWTOR are fine)

Was fine a day ago or so, now its borderline unplayable with all the random lag spikes. This isn't limited to open world stuff as I was having issues in CM as well. Just gonna take a couple days off from this and hope it gets situated. >_>

The situation has improved for me. It's still a bit laggy, but I crafted for about 15 minutes without getting disconnected.
