    I'm on Comcast, and I know a lot of others have been seeing issues with other ISPs. I also have some other folks in my FC who haven't had issues, which is partially why I'm leaning towards a path issue from the NA server cluster to a whole lot of people.

    My toon is on Hyperion, which appears to be an ip of 199.91.189.23. Whois says it was owned by Eidos, which was bought by Square-Enix.

    Tracing out to that shows the outbound going from Comcast to Cogent (using winmtr, I'm seeing large spikes later in the path; pings of 400-500ms) to iweb to SE.

    It kind of looks like something with the Level3 <> iweb connection, or possibly just with Level3. Could be something, could be nothing. But it definitely would be good for someone at SE to reach out to their peering provider to troubleshoot with the tier 1 peers.

    Same issues. Every day at about 8pm GMT+2 Odin starts to lag like crazy. I guess it's prime time?

    I seriously hope SE is aware of this and looking into fixing it. It's getting ridiculous.

    Playing on Cerberus(EU).

    The game is mostly unplayable. Everything is lagging 3-5 seconds and then the lagspikes, 15-30+ seconds. For comparison if I fire up SW:ToR or WoW, no lag, nothing, everything is smooth. If I try to play FFXIV, everything in game is suffering from crippling lag even though the character selection screen says my connection to server is Excellent.

    I'm on 100/100 fiber with pings to several sites on US and Canada as low as 54ms but FFXIV still lags like there is no tomorrow so I'm sure it is server side or something to do with their datacenters.

    started 2 days ago for me also. Horrible spikes where DC icon usually appears near to my name then i'm back. a min or 2 later it happens again. Or I just get D/Cd with a 90k. Internet works fine at the same time.

    Lag spikes here, worst during NA prime hours (6pm-11pm EST), but become less noticeable during NA late night/early morning hours. Been having them since early access.

    30-35 ms when I ping the server, so I don't know what's going on.

    I am happy to have found this thread regarding the unexpected lagg in the game client. I can also confirm this problem for the last couple of days.

    I am guessing it has to do something with a Windows update from last Tuesday that is messing up our gaming performance?

    As last week the performance on my system with final on max settings was smooth as butter. This has changed from one day to another and is now continously

    It seems a large ammount of us are in Australia.
    im wondering if those of us are in aus are perhaps using the same ISP?

    Nah I'm on Telstra, already contacted, not throttling on their end.
    This will be square enix's fault, but they will ignore it for as long as possible because they are just terrible at technical support or customer support.
