    Are you that desperate for a post count that you're making replies to random posts? You've ignored this entire thread and the previous threads about this issue only to cherry pick at me. Since having automatic renewal cancelled due to MogStation errors, I've attempted to register for automatic renewal again. Because of that I've been charged with the test $1-ish amounts again and my bank hasn't blocked those charges. My anecdote was more to do with how useless their 24hr lockout is if my card has already been used on this account. I could go further and call my bank, sure, but it hasn't helped other people here so there's obviously a problem Square Enix has to fix for others, even if it's not MY problem. The fact that they won't let me buy Crysta is enough of a problem to criticise Square Enix about because that has nothing to do with my Mastercard.

    This is the same for me i registered my card the day after I started playing and it accepted it, it even took $1 to make sure it was active. (which is lame) but not it won't accept my card or and of my other cards. So annoying. I can't even play because I have no other pay options.

    I'm a 1.0 CE holder and i used the same exact card for 1.0 and it worked fine and now i'm having the 401 and 601 error and I work at the bank my debit and credit cards are from. I called a friend that works in card services and he said that there is nothing is being charge, there is way more than enough funds in both my debit and credit card to use to pay. So therefore Bublex the problem is with the online payment agencies SE is using. And that "small number of customers that are experiencing issues when trying to set up their subscription" will increase way more in the next week or two.

    You are 100% wrong here. You have a 40+ page thread where multiple people have not only had this problem but have already called their banks. This problem is on YOU. Not only have I never seen any other MMO have a problem with taking payments to this scale, I have never seen them blame the players. It's shameful you would lock peoples threads and try to blame THEM and sweep this under the rug. If you have the free time to troll these threads and close them perhaps you should use that time to get off your ass and find out what needs to be done to fix this, not alienate a large portion of your player base. Every day this goes on you are losing more and more customers and with the shape 1.0 was even losing one customer is more then you should be willing to lose.

    blocked cards

    This is another really bad system. I'm sorry. I wish someone could answer this question for me. How do we know if our card is blocked without trying it, failing, and blocking it again? If it is blocked for the 30 day cycle, does that cycle reset every time you try? Please say no. And besides, why was it even blocked the first time? There must be some way to unblock our cards. I don't know of any other really viable method for me right now. I get the idea of security, but Bublex--if that is your real name--even you have to admit it's been fudged up somewhere along the way here, right?

    Well I waited 2.5 days to try to and use my card again and pay for my subscription and this time I received the 401 instead of the usual 601. I broke down and purchased 1499 crysta using ultimate pay for a 30 day subscription. It was actually a lot less painless than I thought it would be. I didn't have to call or anything, the crysta was there right after I payed. I realize not everyone can use crysta but for those who can I suggest using your card with ultimate pay. I originally wanted to pay for the 6 month subscription but I lost too much faith in SE. Good luck to everyone still trying to pay and get your shit together SE or I wont be back next month.

    On a side note, I was finally able to log in only to find out that there is maintenance and I wont have time to play until tomorrow. pff...figures.

    poor customer support [error code 601]

    I'd like to add my experience to this thread too. I've been a customer for many years and had my account setup with Puerto Rico as country. Due to the cumbersome system SE has for registering payment method in the past I had to use Click and Buy service which was working fine, that is until SE decided to stop using said service on July 2013.

    I had yet again tried to updated my payment method and was unable to add my credit card, nor purchase any crysta. After many tries and hours lost for trying and get help from support, those efforts were not fruitful, indeed I feel they don't have the ability to help whatsoever, which from my point of view are wasted company resources. I'm also owner of version 1.0 CE and was able to enjoy just a few days of the new trial, and that was it.

    I believe that what is going on is that Puerto Rico being setup as a country in SE account management system, is causing trouble with the credit card validation system because it expects to be different from US. In my case, my cards are registered as US, because after all, PR is a US territory. Furthermore, being treated as a different country render us unable to purchase crysta via Paypal or other method such as the Ultimate Game Cards etc.

    I suggested the support people to help me change the country from Puerto Rico to US, but they are not allowed to do so. Therefore everyone looses here. I think they should at least be able to do this once just to help set things straight, but it is not the case.

    Last recommendation I got from support was to purchase the game AGAIN and register under different country. It is easy for them to say so, but I've invested time and effort that would be lost if I did that, although I was willing to do it if at least they allow me to transfer everything from my old account. The answer was still no.

    It is a shame that a company this size after spending so much to do the "RIGHT" thing is hurting the faithful customers who never stop believing them and kept supporting it.
    My only hope is that someone with some sense of commitment will read all this and make the right call. (yes, I still have hope).

    Why is this Happening do they not want my Money ?! I just Finished my 37 days trial and now getting the (Error 601) , Hate to say it but WoW never gave me this Kind of trouble!

    Error 401 and prepaid credit cards

    Hi

    I've trying to pay my sub fee's but I keep getting 401 Error. Now I'm using a pre-paid VISA gift card because I can not get and do not want a credit card. Because of that I can not check with my Financial institute. Is there a reason why pre-paid VISA gift cards should not work? I'm getting really frustrated about this, I have sent 2 E-mails to your support center about this and still have not received any response. I have spent 500$ just to play this game (bought a new PS3) and would really like to feel like I haven't wasted my money. Please for the love of god do something about this, this game is becoming more of a hassle than an enjoyment.

    I'm trying to pay my subscription since two weeks ago, but i can't.
    I used several different cards, my friend tried to pay for me, but nothing worked.
    I want to ask you guys if you have any difference between the card game? The regions influence the signature? If I have a U.S. account and card from the E.U., it not worked?
    This will be my last attempt to stay in the game. If until the card game are complicated to buy, I quit the game.
